Why do people do it? Things like,...'I'm giving up on here' 'too many timewasters' 'can't get a meet'

What do they expect to get from it? Sympathy meets?

It's a bit like on Fakebook when people say non specific things like 'so angry' and then all their mates come on to say 'oh no, what's up Hun!?'.

I guess they want people to show attention tell them they wouldn't timewaste / they'll meet them etc. Futile exercise really I guess.

Mind you I could be wrong - who knows why they do it?

It's only my opinion but I think you nailed it. Hence why I'm no longer on Facebook. Just full of narcissistic people and their first world problems.

Me too, I mainly follow the buy and sells on Facebook, I,'ve unfollowed most of my friends. You don't need to hear all about their problems that you can't help them with anyway. And the happy birthday posts are crap, it's meaningless, happy birthday friend of friend u don't even know! Lol xxx

I have to say, there's a woman from the Midlands who constantly puts out negative status updates hourly!

I did message asking what she was still doing here if she hated the site so vehemently.

I couldn't help myself, I was having a good day and this fucking mood hover was sucking up my chi!

In the end I had to block them

I find it annoying myself... Just bloody go then! I just see it all as a form of attention. They just look like idiots when they stay then.

They just think because it's a swingers site, everyone is just shagging everyone. Way too high expectations. And when they realise that, they think posting in every forum topic will get them laid, when in reality they just look desperate.

Agreed with your theory. It's quite worrying how poor many people's understanding of other people is.

Why bother indeed! Is it indicative of someone who got ignored as a child and can't stop themselves from making others jettison them too.

Perhaps status updates should be moderated and once someone has posted several of this type, they have to read all of the others from that day/week, before they can post again.

Make public updates a privilege, not a right.
