Good point!
Personally the number doesn't really bother me. I find it does help show who's a genuine person over someone with no feedback, it also helps to see who they've been meeting and what standard of meets they have too.
I know you shouldn't judge as each to their own but it can help make a decision on whether or not to meet. For instance if they have met certain people who engage in practices that I might consider too risky then that might make me proceed with a bit more caution.
