i would love to know why some people join fab just to lead others on and why fab doesn't get rid of profiles that have been here for over a year and have no verifications at all as that just screams time waster to me |

Maybe some people arent interested in having verifications on their profile?
Would love to know how you can decide that no verifications means that they dont meet or play in clubs!!
Maybe some people dont really buy into the 'look at all my verifications!!' one up-manship that some people are into.
My god, why are so many people on here so bloody judgemental about other people that dont behave exactly how they want them to behave??? |

I don't think lack of verifications screams time waster. I put no importance on verifications, as my own opinion of someone is all I need. I met a guy from here, he had been a member for over a year and had no verifications (turned out to be as he worked away a lot, so there are genuine members who are not verified) anyway, he was my best meet by far. |

i dont mind if ppl dont show verifications but i thing ppl that come here looking for ppl to meet at clubs show at less have a photo verification so u know they are for real |

I dont get the lead people on comment. Verifications are not compulsory neither is photo verification. If you chat to someone and they decide they don't want to meet then move on to the next.
As far as I'm concerned the only time a person is a time waster is when they are a no show with no contact.

i have had a few no shows my self and that dose piss me off more then any thing eles and what i mean lead on is ppl that u message for ages that seem to be up for a meet but right when your about to set up a meet date the just block u or set a dad and not show up then when u try to message then they just dont reply |

I meet a guy from here regular, have done so for about 9 months, hes been on site for over 2 years, he has no verification, he doesnt want any.
Its his profile and he manages it how he chooses. |

Then you must be doing things all wrong I've been on here 2 weeks had 2 meets not encounted a single time waster one meet was with a lady with no verfications who had been on here over 9 months. Some people are waiting to meet the right person so stop moaning and have fun |

I've been on the site for a year and a half now, and haven't met one timewaster. I've had meets cancel same as on one or two occassions I've had to cancel myself, I appreciate that people have lives to lead after all and things happen that causes plans to go tits.
In my mind a timewaster is someone who would arrange a meet and not show or someone who arranges a meet several times cancelling on each occassion. I've heard plenty about these folk, usually through gripes on the forums, but have yet to encounter one. I'm therefore either an incredibly jammy bastard or there's not many of these people around.
Being able to spot most fake profiles helps too...  |

I think there's not many timewasters about like you not had one yet on this site or others, just choose who your going to meet carefully, if someone cancels that's not timewasting people have a life outside swinging it's good to remember that. If I had to cancel a meet and saw that person in the forums slagging me off calling me a timewaster I'd be pissed. |

Having been around the scene for a while now its clear that the main problems on these types of sites are normally because of desperate, pushy, inpatient people rather than timewasters.
It’s a cardinal sin to change your mind on here if you’ve exchanged a few messages, and the amount of people who struggle to handle rejection on here is unreal.
Its obvious if people say no, change their mind, or a conversation dwindles out that they’re timewasters, because swingers are gagging for it 24/7 and real swingers fuck anyone or never say NO

We have met guys off here who have been on here for over a year no veri's... They no timewasters and didnt scream timewasters to us!

I think we all have very different perceptions of what a time waster is. I was a member for 5-6 months and yes a single female, before I agreed to meet anyone and gain any "verifications", but I was not a time waster, I was just going at my own pace and doing my own thing as we are all permitted to do. |

BUT
the ones that get me are the nosey fkers who will send you an email with a cpl pics,say they love your profile blah blah then send you a friend invite,you let them in your profile and exactly 3 mins later (the time it takes them to have a wank or steal your pics)you find your blocked and deleted lol
I had one of those this weekend but i pay it no mind for every one of those you get 10 that are all real  |

To me and my mrs we have had no meets but at end of day if we did we would not get verified the way we see it its not about how many notched on the bed post there is its about fun and non pushy civolised folks so in general verifications is like nothes on ur post and thats just sad tbh hope did not offend anyone thats show there verifications   |

You have to smile at the people who complain about timewasters. Or in this Thread the OP who moans about POSSIBLE timewasters. Fer chrissakes if you take your time getting to know folks it is doubtful they will want to waste your time. Without wishing for this to sound wrong I have been swinging for about 5 years now and never ever met any timewasters. Had people delayed or had to cancel for good reason but met up with them all later.
I find the people who winge about 'timewasters' mean they never got a s**g...lol |

In response I would say that you have the option of blocking those with no verifications and thus removing these tiresome people from your world. Or you could talk to them and use your own skill and judgement to sort the genuine ones from the rest. This will take time but the time is not wasted if you find genuine people.
It is hard enough to get meets on here anyway, I have been told it can take months. And even then it is no guarantee you will get a verification.
I assume you are choosey about who you meet, doesn't everyone have that right? I thought swinging was about the freedom to meet with those you wanted to rather than having to shag someone in order to tick a box to enable you to meet more....... |

The thing is, just because some of you haven't met a timewaster (yet! You never know) doesn't mean they don't exist. And a lot of time wasting costs money - buses, trains, taxis etc etc. I've been stood on an open station in North Yorkshire in the snow waiting for someone to pick me up who never turned up, never picked their phone up, and never told me why they didn't turn up. They wasted MY time and MY money, and I have little of either to spare.
So please don't just say 'they don't exist as I have never met one'. Be happy you haven't and at least try to see how upsetting it can be for those of us who have. |

I ask myself everytime i see these threads what the op class as a timewaster and are they timewasters just because they have choosen not to meet someone.
I have never had a 'timewaster' , and i prefer not to judge a person by what others have written.
My advice to the op would be , block the unverified people by using your filter , failing that , take a bit of time to get to know someone before u jump into asking for a meet , often people can be swept along by the thrill of wanting to meet but when it comes time to do it , they get cold feet , or something else important happens in their life. I have never had a meet after just a few messages , I like to take time to get to know someone , chat for a bit , even on the phone , I prefer to take time with people after all being comfortable and attracted to someone you want to meet helps dramatically, so dont rush and u may find your meets will be with interesting fun people who u have got to know a bit and the 'timewaster' may be a thing of the past in ur world, above all , happy swinging. |

Ive met quite a few "straight" guys on fab and they dont want verifs from me as it might compromise their luck with the ladies and couples. I respect this but still find it amusing. So dont always judge someone by a lack of verifs.So far I have found couples who contact me to be the worst timewasters. And often they have no courtesey at all. |

We only have one verification because we feel one is all that is needed. With all of the pretenders on here we feel having one proves we are for real, and probably would not reply to a message from anyone that does not have one after over a year on the site.. our choice.. We have met lots of sexy peeps from here at clubs and meets but do not feel the need to have loads of verifications... |

How can I be so sure?!! I always meet socially before hand. The meeting takes place during my lunch hour, and the meeting place is outside the M&S where I'd be going to get my lunch any way. If they decided not to turn up, I've not even broken my step as it's lunch time, and Marks beckons. If I meet them after work it's at 5.15 in the station. If they're not there I can make my way to the platform to catch my 5.30 train - again, no skin of my nose, no time expended, no cost involved.
I explain to all my meets the reason for my timings and as yet, I've not had a no show.
When it comes to meeting for play it would be on a flexi day I had booked off anyway to do my windows/gardening etc. If they didn't turn up, it's not put me out as I'd things to do - again, never had a no show.
That's how it's worked for me for four years until I stopped playing. If you're not as "lazy" as I am and have to plan I wouldn't be best pleased to have someone waste my time, and would probably have a moan too. |

In all the time we've been on here, we've never experienced a no show, we've only experienced one cancellation, and that was a new couple to the site, en-route to them they called and said they didn't have the confidence to go through with the meet, we thanked them for being honest and wished them luck.
The word “time-waster” should be banished from the forums, admin have implemented a function for reporting no shows, I doubt admin are stupid, if a pattern appears with members, admin have stated they will take action, of course, it's far easier to whinge on an open forum than use the facility provided  |

I agree. Definitely going to start implementing some of those ideas.
Having said that, the definition of a time waster is someone who wastes time, and it doesn't have to be a no show to do that! And a lot of people use these forums for a moan and a rant, so why is one subject deemed worthy and others not? Empathy is an excellent trait to cultivate. |

Empathy IS an excellent trait to cultivate. However, it becomes counterproductive if you empathise with the same individual's week on week.
There comes a time when you have to encourage people to look at how they select meets. How is it some people are let down 12 times in a row whilst others are having a great time on meets?
"There, there, never mind, their loss" will not get meets. Showing people alternative ways of selecting meets and not using wishy washy fluffy wuffy language just might! |

Well we of the oppinion that every body should at least be photo varified and be made by fab to have at least 1 face pik in they private gallery which as everybody knows they can choose who sees it just so it shows that some sort ov genuine thought has gone into it or just make every body pay tha site supporter fee every month coz no one like to throw money away on summing they dont use tidy but the trouble is that ull never get rid of all the fakes and waisters uve just got2 learn to be more clued up on the way the opperate and then do the thing that you choose to do, either block them,report them or ignore them but that choice is yours |

Why? This is a sex site,why on earth should admin have rules about what pics ppl have on their profile?If ppl need their hand holding that much perhaps they shoudn't be here in the first place.
We are all adults,and should be capable of making our own decisions about the criteria for meeting others.
If Fab starting putting rules like that in i would leave instantly,i don't need someone to police my meets.
As for making the site a pay site,well i think we all know a certain other place that charges a fortune and where meets are as common as hens teeth. |

think its great some people do have the time for wee social get togethers...great of course...but please do bare in mind,at times some people like meeting semi-off the cuff.Ive had lotsa different types of meets , so indeed i know how to decide my meet ups, either socially or at parties etc etc etc blah blah, but when u get a message on that day or night asking for a meet-and agreeing to meet whereever it is and the person doesnt turn up without a valid reason at all?-well that IS a timewaster.
Ive only ever one "on her way"via text meet who has done this...out of concern i phoned her 3 times(as she was travelling by bus at nite)-no response....later shes online!?!
I've no reason at all to be bitter, i do OK for meets as it is, but when someone wastes ur time and ignores ur concern, that to me strikes as shallow selfishness...OOOOO and timewasting! |

Yes, that is a point, but there are people who are successful but have say one in every ten or twenty meets go south due to the other person just not turning up. Surely a quick rant is OK? After all, I've seen other people rant about something on the TV.
I just think that sometimes it would be nice for people to see another point of view without automatically assuming they are moaning for nothing, or trying it on. I don't get stood up often but, when I do, its a real pain in the tush! |

I think what Jemima is saying to you is....you can't expect every person to want to talk to you.
Yes, they may ask for verified people , but it doesn't guarantee that they will want to talk to you....they still have a choice. |

I don't go to clubs so verifications do matter to me - I use them as part of how I decide if I want to see them.
However, as has been pointed out no verifications doesn't necessarily mean they are a timewaster, because they may well be busy at the clubs. |

I was delighted to come across a profile from a cpl i met 2years ago at a club,only really found out who they were thru the verifications lol....heres hoping my next visit we bump into eachother again...just like last time winkwink hehe |

When I first joined fabs my verifications were from people I had met from other sites.....
And am I still socially in contact with these people.....yes...I am.
I have since met others and my veris has increased. I would be apprehensive in meeting fem cpl without veris but would suggest a social meet first or club meet.
In the past I have met cpl in club then persuade a house meet later.

the ones that get me are the nosey fkers who will send you an email with a cpl pics,say they love your profile blah blah then send you a friend invite,you let them in your profile and exactly 3 mins later (the time it takes them to have a wank or steal your pics)you find your blocked and deleted lol
I had one of those this weekend but i pay it no mind for every one of those you get 10 that are all real "
