That pic was of you?

Please tell me I'm not the only person on here who has trouble with picture / actual recognition.

I spent two hours at clubf on Friday checking every blond woman with short blonde hair on the off chance she was the person I was supposed to meet – and frankly if she hadn’t winked and smiled at me – it may have gone on to three.

Later in the night I was trying to remember tattoo's in case people from here had turned up and I had missed them (I can think of at least one girl who probably thought I was talking to her breasts where in actual fact I was trying to remember a nerdy but fun chat in the programming style – and which tattoo's she might have).

I'm not talking about photo altering – just the ability to link photo's to an actual person.

Yeah, I'm horrible at face recognition. It only clicks easily in person if it's someone whose face made a particluar impression on me when I saw their pic.

I still have a hard time remembering the faces of people I've seen on face pic Friday threads over and over

I'm terrible at recognising faces too. I always try to arrive early if I'm meeting someone new, so that they have to approach me rather than the other way round.

Me too. I try and pick out something about their photo that stands out to remember

Had a few experiences of grinning madly at people

I recall, from my single days, a date from a regular online dating site - we both stood at the nominated meeting spot for about 5 minutes before asking whether the other was who we had planned to meet. She didn't look the picture.

There is the other side of course - I noticed a woman who would be at the same club as me and mentioned via message - I would only recognize her if she took her knickers off and bent over

no reply - I wonder why?

But it still amazes me how different people look - even on live cam - even when sat in a car in a normal Facebook style photo.

Add in color filters and strategic positioning - I'm amazed anyone gets recognized.

It was cringey and I have to say I was disappointed because he was really attractive. Part of me wanted to suggest having a drink with him but I couldn't!!!

I've had this happen also, not always a good thing, but always great when the person in question actually looks much better in the flesh without all the crap photo filters etc

Same problem here. I'm just upfront about it!

I've been told I look better in rea life than in person which is a bit of a relief! It does make me wonder what meets I miss because of my picture face versus in the flesh face

Ah well

I'm useless so I either try and get there first or tell them to collect me from my car, no crossed wires. I also get told I look better in person

sounds like a "get out of jail free card"

Personally - I'd keep looking (and hope they were too)

I have a fantastic memory for facts, details, conversations etc. but my visual memory is shocking for features. Plus I tend to wear contacts on a meet anyway and my eyesight isn't as good with them as it is with my glasses. I also have no sense of direction so tend to get myself sorted somewhere and let them find me since I'd probably get lost otherwise.

I tend to look for tattoos or other distinguishing featurws as a lady only needs to change her hair and you got no chance of recognition lol

I thought it would be easier asking what car they are driving, when being picked up. It doesn't help when you don't know a Ford Fiesta from a Range Rover.

That happened to me when I met someone who had only seen photos of me with straightened hair. I had only seen him with sunglasses on,so I walked right past him outside the station. After a few texts, telling him where I was standing, he came over and said my name then mentioned that my hair looked different.

My problem is not face recognition but name association. I never for get a face....even many years later.

I also look for tattos when meeting someone who I've been chatting to on a site.

I rarely arrange to meet someone in a club for a first time meet, it's more like "say hi if you see me".

The other thing is when you fuck someone in a club and you're not sure if it's them on the profile you have randomly looked up a few days later
