I was wondering if anyone one of you wonderful lot have experienced bumping into someone you knew in a club? If so how did it go? It's kind of the thing I fear most about visiting one and I feel it's holding me back from taking the plunge. |

"When we used to go to clubs , this happened loads of times .
We loved it .
Played with most of the people we knew when we bumped into them "
Wow that's one way of looking at it! Maybe I just need to take the plunge. So were there any awkward moments when you first saw them? |

Hell yeah ... but they're there for the same reason as us so we just went for it . All good |

"Yep I bumped into an old school friend in a club and we had a great catch up "
Sounds like fun.. I guess the possibilities are endless as you could literally bump into anyone. |

That's very true I think that maybe after the initial first encounter it would be cool |

"I've never met anyone I know at the club I go to.
How do think you'd handle if you did?
I suppose it would depend who it was."
Yeah guess if it was the next door neighbour who you'd always secretly fancied it would be a good result! |

Never met anyone I knew in a club, but a few years ago a customer came to the office to collect something. As I was sorting the paperwork out he said "I feel like I know you from somewhere". When I checked my messages on here later there was a message from him saying "I knew I'd seen you somewhere before"
Bumped into him once or twice since and we've smiled about it, my face was a picture apparently lol |

A lot of people we have met over the years say they will not go to a club in their locality in case they meet someone they know.
However, we have met people (at least 3 couples) who have travelled long distances and seen/met neighbours or a family member in a club doing exactly the same thing.
Ateotd, it's mutual assured destruction , both parties have probably got something to lose if they rat you out. |

That makes sense definitely .. I have thought about that too travelling to some club outside my area but as you suggest I bet most folk have the same idea . Maybe it could be better then to do it locally? |

Yep for Pauls it's been twice. Once at the BBB and at this point Paul and I wasn't swinging I was just introducing him to things slowly. I should just mention here this guy was Pauls biggest customer at work and brought a lot of money in his shop. Anyway this man and his wife do swing. So we said hi had a politechat and then went on our merry way. That was until the man kept asking Paul if we would swing and even offered Him money to sleep with me
In the end Paul had to politely say that I wouldn't sleep with him In a month of Sunday's!!
The other one was our first time in chams - but Paul just nodded at this guy and verse visa and nothing was ever said again.
