This is a general question but is it me or getting back into "shape" (by that I mean, one looks good visually...) takes a lot of effort in terms of dieting and physical pain training/exercising? Not sure how many of the ladies & gents manage the physique that they have...#respect!!! |

I find I can generally eat what I want and do little excerise to look reasonable. I'm very lucky in that way.
However to look good I watch what I eat and do some exercise every day. I'm don't really have a target of what I should look like
What I am confident about is we all have different body shapes, and some people can't look like a body builder or a marathon runner. What I am confident about is that everyone can eat and exercise healthily |

For me it's all in the carbs. I reduced my carb intake by half, upped my protein and cardio and dropped a stone in a couple of months.
Diets never work as it takes a concerted lifestyle change to keep the weight off once you lose it. I still enjoy pizza and beers, just as part of a balanced diet (a treat a couple times a month).
Not easy to start with but once you get into a routine it does make things better. |

"Didn't you post this a while back?
I'm in decent shape and l don't workout much. It's just genes I think. Has drawbacks too."
I think you've mistaken me for someone else friend, I've not been in the forums for over a year, just started back the last 2 or so weeks |

Not sure I look good, but I'm lucky I suppose. Physical job that involves a lot of moving, plus I swim with the kids at weekends and swim with the boss on Tuesday nights, and I'm fucked if I'm letting him be smug..
I also have a very rapid metabolism, so I'm on a theoretical medically recommended 6 meals a day, everything full fat and chocolate. |

Eating healthily in the week, then indulging at weekends is a good balance for me.
I mix this with an equal balance of cardio and weight training during the week. I'm no superman, but I'm fairly happy with my look and don't put on any fat. |

"I bootcamp four times a week , walk eight miles about three times a week and eat healthy but still have my chocolate "
And I can verify you have a great body
Keeping in shape is a lifestyle choice not just something you do, achieve and then don't need to bother with anymore. I run 3 times a week, cycle, gym and eat a good balanced diet. 'Diets' don't work because people think they are short term 'fix' after which you can go back to your old ways. Unfortunately all that happens then is you get your old body back... |

You ladies and gents seem to have it under control and do it well. I for some reason unless on a strict program with only 1 cheat meal out of the 42 meals I have in a week... And Train hard as I can. I don't change at all physically. But when it works...it works...but boy is it a pain in the ass (not literally haha). |

I've found staying in shape is more about eating well than doing exercise. Intermittent fasting has helped me lose loads of weight, regardless of whether I run 15 miles a week or not (I often do, but I'm saying that on weeks when I don't do that much exercise, my weight isn't affected). |

Cheers. Lack of food (I'm always hungry) and a hard physical job create this.
Oh; and a shot load of makeup |

My partner has this a lot has he's a powerlifter and strongman so he puts loads of size on for comps and then loses most of the fat when not competing, it's hard work for him and he gets very self conscious when in clubs at his fullest, just work hard at what you enjoy if it's for the right reasons you see results cause your enjoying it |
