It's quite the trend at the moment.
Beards are very, very it..
Personally, though, I think.. .... are you to lazy to shave?
Oh. Your wearing skinny jeans. Clearly then, you mentally retarded. You cannot shave, or change your trousers.
Such a shame no one can help you.

Imagine growing facial hair so quickly that to remain soft skinned I would have to shave twice a day at least and even then I've never really been stubbleless.
So if I were clean shaven and you kissed me it would still be like sand paper.
I've kissed partners and after a few seconds they're sore and red skinned.
Finally they're fashionable and boy have I embraced that, but really I'd like to be fresh faced and clean shaven and smooth to touch and kiss. But I can't. I have to have a beard. I'm just too much man! Sorry ladies the beard stays. |

Maybe with a little less testosterone I could spend less time grooming my face. Maintaining a beard takes so much longer than simply shaving it off once a week. |

As a bearded guy, whose had a beard for many years, I can tell you it "seemed" more desirable before skinny jeans and top knots made it a trend.
Science says it's a cycle, when beards are a rarity they are more desirable. When clean shaven is rare thats more attractive. I have to say I agree.

Having a tidy beard is hard work man, it's not just 'oh I'll just shave my neck, or I won't shave, it's easier'. It's the trimming, getting it even, conditioning, oiling, loads to get it looking good and soft |

Careful dude, about 5-6 months ago when I mentioned oils and conditioning, I nearly got stoned to death and run out of town.
But yeaH, so much hard work. Even harder when you screw it up and take a chunk out and try to fix it heh.

Mine is currently growing caveman style until the chunk fills in :/ keep trimming and clipping just wasn't working so it's a little messy but still smells awesome and feels silky soft
I keep thinking of going to a barbers for shaping but if they ruin my precious, I would be forced, nay honour bound to kill them :/
Do you show them what you want or do they suggest styles, how does it work ? |

Bit of both really, I told them just beaten up what I've done as I shave my neck so the line needs to be straight. Then they straighten out all the edges and the 'tache and keep the beard even and get rid of any long bits etc. I've been going to the same guy so he's pretty clued up on what I have done. |

I can't stand this big bushy beard fad, it makes you guys look at least 10 years older than you are, but why do most shave their heads as well? I don't get it.....

See, now I find stubble uncomfortable. Looks nice, but I get a terrible stubble rash. So have to avoid men with stubble. Beards are really soft. I love running my fingers through one. Quite cathartic haha, especially after a long session. |

All the advice says you should shave in the direction of the hair growth. Bollocks.
Shaving against the hair growth (for me) gives a great shave. Particularly when using Geo. F. Trumper Shaving Cream.
Now, that stuff really is top banana! |

"hate beards clean shaven only for me
Same here" hate beards and tashes .. disgusting. worse thing is when you meet someone and on their profile and the photos show them as clean shaven . then they arrive and they have a face of fur , now you have to find a reason to decline politely |

I always had a long beard like a bikers beard and shaved head and shave balls and smooth ass.
My ex always said never trust a man who cant grow a beard.
I did radiotherapy on my neck last year and my beard doesn't grow back I miss it. I feel like they cut my balls off.
Each to their own though.

I've tried loads from pound shop to Tom ford.
I second the by my beard face and beard moisturiser is only a £1 in B&M type stores and its really quite good for the money. The beard shampoo they do is nice too.
The pound shop ones were questionable, the oil smelled like salad dressing oil on one of them.
I would never buy another expensive one, the TF my mate got from an airport for £20 for my birthday a few weeks ago, not worth the extra, I'd prefer the quid one.
I like Capt Fawcetts Beer and Baccy, and there is a Capt Munro Jim Beam Bourbon oil on ebay which is nice too.
I use melt and smelt balms and waxes on ebay. Their Mango and Vanilla smells awesome. Benzoin and Sandalwood has a nice clean soap type smell.
I'm guilty of buying because I think yummy that smells awesome and would work well with X aftershave or Y body spray so maybe not the best to ask.

I've had a beard since I was 18. 23 years ago! Just a goatee for the first 18 years and then they get all fashionable. So I grow it full and long. Jet black with a hint of grey around my chin only. Long enough that I had to brush it through regularly and my daughter plaited it.
I was being stared at in the street and on the Paris Metro which freaked me. I'd get guys buying me drinks and chatting to me about beards in pubs and clubs. I even had one girl ask me to come and chat to her boyfriend and as she led me through the pub she whispered in my ear that she'd like to Fuck me.
One guy ran up to me and asked me if I was Dan Bilzerian. I had no idea who he was, but when I looked him up I could see the likeness, although I'm not that hench. It was all a bit weird.
So now it's trimmed a little shorter, it did get very long. |

Just started to maintain a beard . Never let it grow longer than the hair clippers with the guard off , fully retracted . So about 1/16th inch, nice Prada after shave balm to keep it soft and smelling good. I almost look trendy...at 45! |

'Women' aren't one large group with a hive mind you know. The answer to your question is, some do, some don't, some don't have a preference and a multitude of answers inbetween. |
