"Do you have to be a confident person to swing or can you be shy and still have fun ..???"
I'm quite a shy person especially in certain circumstances.
I've never found it to be too much of an issue with the right people.

id say still shy a bit - more more self confident than before - i will make the first move to chat /play now whereas i used to wait - lifes too short and so are some evenings  |

When I say the right people. I mean those whom are easy to be around and are naturally warm, friendly / chatty. Some people I feel more relaxed with than others.
