FAB really needs to allow some sort of verification for no shows who then hide their profile when you've gone to a lot of trouble to get ready for your mutually agreed meet. Rant rant rant......

How would that work? Far too many bitter immature people on here that would abuse it I fear.

Fab really needs to allow some sort of verification for people who arrange a meet with obvious no shows?

If it happens all the time, then look a little closer to home, after all your meets have one thing in common. You.

But it's not on, the effort people go to to arrange a mutual meet and not even a sorry. Just a hidden profile. Yes it would get abused I understand that but I'm just annoyed. Gives genuine FABs a bad name. End of rant sorry xx

But it doesn't give genuine people a bad name, it does the opposite in fact, it makes them stand out more. Your success or otherwise on here is not affected by anyone else's behaviour.

It doesn't make them stand out more as nobody knows what they do. Sorry, just annoyed tonight. Thanks for support x

Have a plan b so your evening isn't a waste. Go to a club or grab a last minute meet today. Letting a time waster ruin an evening/free time/whatever is just daft.

Try to arrange something where it doesn't matter if they don't turn up ie coffee in town when you're there , that way you've not wasted time and money. I've been caught out a couple of times at night which is why I try to avoid it now.

I do this-i wait and if the person doesnt show i then message them and let them know that i will get another meet. If they are running late they will respond. If not i block them.

Go to their profile page, use the REPORT PROFILE facility on the left hand menu, click the reason for 'No Show', and send report.

Simples!

Yes, even on a blocked or hidden profile YOU can still report them.

No need to be like that to him, if people aren't interested they should say it from the start, not lead them on and waste time, this happens to both genders aswel

Never managed a successful meet yet - four no shows so far.

The last cost me quite a bit of money, a days holiday from work and traveled halfway across the country.

Gullible...

Ouch!!! This is why I work meets around my lifestyle and don't take days off etc and I won't travel too far.

Had a few cancel but they at least had the decency to let me know beforehand which i suppose isnt too bad and had one or two no shows which is a bit of a pain but unfortunately it comes with the territory.

Exactly what I do and in seven years not had one no show.

I think *SOME* people invest so much time and effort in swinging they lose perspective.

We all meet differently but I'd never do this. I can't imagine doing that.

My initial meet is always a social during the day. Coffee at lunchtime in the coffee shop 100m from my desk where I'd be anyway or after work at the station, 15 minutes before my train so I can catch it should they not turn up.

On the rare occasion I meet at weekends it's nearby so I can do my shopping should they not turn up.

Flexi days are used for play meets. I'd be at home anyway so no loss should they not turn up. Works for me.

Hope you find a way that works for you.

you can report to admin with evidence of meet arrangements - if the same person keeps doing this then action will be taken apparently

Thanks for your advice!

I wouldn't have normally gone to such lengths for a meet but it was a well known gorgeous couple off FAB who have many many varifications and we'd been speaking for several weeks before hand.

They arranged to meet me in a club (which again made the meet seem genuine) but never showed up. I paid train travel, taxis, club membership and entrance fee.

I wasn't the only person there they had done it to, there were others in the club expecting them there. We suspect they did it to get folk through the club doors

I would have normally asked for a social meet first but they seemed so genuine

We always have a plan b , and if that doesn't work out either we have each other .

Anyone who agrees to a meet and doesn't turn up gets an instant block .

Furthermore are people so daft that they don't think people chat ? Word soon gets round regarding the scourge of the site , and genuine swingers soon filter out the idiots who ruin it .

But we all get to experience it and it sucks ... Big time .

Loath to post it, (now it will happen) but never had a no show yet, can't fit the life of me think why we haven't, but we haven't....

Anyone flaky in conversation, unorganised, wishy washy or just cant answer a straight question with a straight answer we just give up on and move on, seems to have worked for us.

As for a way for fabswingers to do something about it mmmm they are not here to hold our hands and naming & shaming is so open to abuse xx
