Heterosexual = Sexually aroused by those of the opposite sex
Homosexual = Sexually aroused by those of the same sex

On a more general point, this is just normalisation of behaviour. If your peer group finds something acceptable then eventually so do you. Swinging in itself is hardly "normal" from the _iewpoint of most of society

Most young people don't categorise themselves as straight, according to government research. I think older people - from a culture that was more oppressive - have relaxed a bit now.
