I rang my sister on her birthday just as her friends arrived to take her out. I told her I'd catch up with her and wished her a happy birthday. My other sister called after failing to contact her, asking if I'd spoken to her. I replied I had but we didn't talk long as she was on her way out with friends.
The following day the birthday girl rang, but she sounded annoyed. Apparently our other sister had told her I'd said I'd wasted my time phoning her in Italy but she couldn't be bothered to talk to me as she was going out with friends!
I'm sure you get my point: interpretation. The two posts may seem the same but the method of delivery dictates the response.
However, your point is valid, you only have to look at the response to threads on say time wasters to spot the difference. Single male: it's a whine, arrogant and pushy. Single woman/couple: more gushing than Old Faithful! How could they not turn up for you? You're so hot? Their loss...and endless nauseating comments in the vain hope of getting a shag.
All rather pathetic, but somewhat amusing.

would be more than happy to meet as I find all colours and shapes fun to be with but only if they can speak and act like a human being with average IQ as I find it is not the colour or shape but the attraction of a well formed mind that is the biggest turn on for me!!! |
