Non of them.

A good diet works. Pills just don't. It's all a con.

There's lots of diet pills that work, sadly they are all amphetamine based so not really ideal and usually not legal. Cut down your calorie intake by 10% and you will start losing small amounts of weight. This would be roughly the small bag of crisps you get with your lunch. Just make sure you don't compensate. Top of with some modest exercise and some generally healthier meals and weight will come off. It isn't quick though.

There is no diet pill on the market that does not tell you it will only work in conjunction with healthy eating and regular excerise

d'oh do you think

They are a scam, you will loose weight anyway if you eat healthy and excerise

Some work in the sense that the suppress appetite and eating less will make you lose fat. Exercise is inherently better though.

With most of them any weight you lose while on them will go back on plus more probably as soon as you come off them if you don't change your habits. Same with those quick fix diets like Lighterlife. Been there, done that, not worth it

Getting a heart rate monitor, you should be burning 1,800 calories in 180 minutes of football. If not, run more. If so, eat less.

The pills my son takes to suppress his ADHD are also appetite suppressants ...

It's a small price to pay though as I just feed him when the tablets have worn off

I doubt anyone would want to recommend anything ...you need to see for yourself and read the side effects as they are generally different for different people..

personally, I would recommend diet and exercise

The only diet pill that actually works is orlistat. You can only get it on prescription from your doctor and only if you are very overweight. It works by preventing your body from absorbing fat. Any fat you eat is expelled in your faeces - hence the side effect of greasy/oily diahrroea. Its very unpleasant, I've tried them.

The only way i found to lose weight that works is to change my lifestyle. Eat less and move more. I lost nearly 7 stone this way and have kept it off for nearly 3 years.

As well as the milkshake diets I habe tried reductil on prescription. Lost a stone, put 2 back on. Then tried Xenical again on prescription. Very unpleasant side effects resulting in an unfortunate personal incident lol. Lost 2 stone and put 3 back on. Have now lost about 8 stone without tablets. The last 2 were because of illness but the first 6 were because of a lifestyle change due to diabetes

Just buy a dog and a pushbike. Eat real food at regular times, I'm no dietitian but a lot of it is just common sense.

Generally speaking, stimulants will act as appetite suppressants,,,however, some, more powerful and effective stimulants are not legal for use and some, such as caffeine have other side effects which may not be desirable (in the form of energy drinks there may also be a high sugar content,,,and that really is fattening).

A very low carbohydrate/high protein diet can be effective but long term can cause other health issues (severe constipation being one of them).

There is only one real, achievable, sustainable solution and it is simple maths,,,,Calories in Calories out. This can be simplified as 'E.L.M.A.M' or Eat less, move around more. It really is the only way.

If there was a miracle pill the doctors would be dishing it out. None are good for you. As been said and we all know. Eat healthy and move more. I know it's easily said than done but it's the best way

Actually, that theory has long been disproved. Human thermodynamics are dictated by much more than that. Exercise accounts for only 20% of weight loss, permanent dietary changes are the most successful.

I'm eight stones lighter and 9 years in to eating a low carb diet. I'm also the healthiest I've ever been and I'm 55.

You can't make a general statement like exercise only accounts for 20% of weight loss. That's patent silliness. You know when our troops go to Afghanistan they are eating over 6,000 calories a day and still losing weight. Go figure!!

Sounds to me that you don't really know what you want OP..

Why not have a chat with your gp and see what they recommend?

VoX on youtube did a video about this, you have to work out a ton to burn off even single items.

A meal replacement like soyulent is another option perhaps, if you have a food addiction.

I'm guessing in Afghanistan there's the stress, poor sanitation, altitude and cold are big factors too

Hull but travel regularly

A trainer I knew recommended giving simple carbs/white stuff up - Bread, pasta, sugar, rice and potatoes. I lost a lot in a week but didn't keep it up. That's the real trick to weight loss, maintaining any change so it's a lifestyle not a temporary diet.

I dealt with the ketone ones a lot when I worked at the bank. Because everyone signs up for a free trial, doesn't read the small print, and ends up 0lbs lighter but £80 lighter a month down the line!
