Had a lady cancel an hour before the meet saying her dad had just died then next day mailed us and asked to meet that night lol
We think most people on here arrange a few meets thinking they will be let down
We think that's a crap way of treating people but sadly I think it's on the increase |

We've had meets cancelled three times, the first time we knew was legitimate, the second was a man we now realise was unlikely ever to actually meet the third was a man we had cancelled who we're fairly sure played tit for tat. It happens  |

I got "Hubby is on the other side of town and is not doing as he's told"
This was after standing at the meeting point for almost 30mins.

Only had two cancellations over the years. One deleted her profile even though she was chasing me. The other just didnt show. Was a shame as had booked some time off, booked a hotel etc. She seemed so very genuine too. Luckily thats it. The rest have been brilliant. Saying that I never rush into a meet and can usually out the fakes and time wasters in a few messages.  |

Had a guy cancel coming to a party citing that his auntie had been in a car crash that afternoon and he needed to tend to her. Fine, OK, until he messaged another girl going to the party saying it was his Nan in the car accident, and said it was his cousin to someone else,,,.
Amazing how many people's car break down at the last minute, dog needs emergency vet visit, Nan has died (again), babysitter cancelled, house been hit by meteorite etc. |

We have had a few, but we always assure people that we won't get all pissy and stroppy if they cancel as long as they let us know well in advance.
Last minute nerves, change of heart or better offer whatever the case maybe.
As long as we are told and not left sitting there like a couple of twats. |

I was on the way to meet you, got in an accident and the guys in the other car got out and stabbed me. I was in the hospital for months as it wouldn't heal.

Car broken into, wallet and phone stolen so no way to communicate...but he was on fab that night. No apology at the time.

I had a guy who arranged for me to drive to a coffee shop near his work place, only about 10 mins drive from me. Sent a message to see if I was there, and when I replied he was, he said he couldn't get out of of work even though we had only arranged it less than half an hour before
I have a feeling it was vindictive because I had put him off a few times as I don't get much free time for meets. He waited for me to get there first then tried to say I wasn't verified, even though my summary was visible. |

Drank too much last night, lost my wallet, just been sick and I'm scared and crying on my bed, my tummy is swollen and I'm.on my way to hospital, I just ran someone over and I'm in shock, ...
All over the years that I have been on here.
Obviously not all at once. Some were true, and some were not, but I would say that my criteria is so much stronger now and I and I only meet by chance, or people I already know in clubs I'm going to anyway now. |

Social meet before anything...waited at a local bar for 1 hour then drove home. At home received textmsg "Where are u?" answered back at home..reply "Were u wearing red coat and sitting outside the bar?" He had our face pictures...
Another couple this time arranged to meet at 8 in a pub (posh). Were there at 7:30 as hubby is anal with times...Waited waited...locals started staring at us so at 9 we left.
Around 10ish we get a message sorry running late she couldn't get ready in time  Err I (f) work on Sundays, got home, showered slapped on make-up and were on time.. They both according to their profile don't work weekends and only meet at weekends...
Some excuses are real and others are just taking the piss out of people...  |

Have the kids, arranged a meet for today after chatting since Friday emailed each other numerous pics. Although I knew something wasn't right when I asked her to send a pic doing something to confirm her pics was real and she Didt. We was meant to meet today I emailed treaters at asking if we still in and she goes she can't meet got the kids not like she told me straight away once she knew but only when I asked. I knew she Didt seem real. |

Despite telling him we would have to get a hotel room and agreeing a date, three days before he told me he didn't like having sex in hotels.
I'm not sure where he thought we were going to do it but I certainly wasn't doing it in the back of his van..

I was meant to have a social meet. The bloke cancelled a couple of days before, saying he had left his mobile at his mother's house 200 miles away and had to go and get it, could we reschedule.
I said okay.
Never heard from him again, I didn't block him

I have had a phone call to go and see a relative in hospital before it is too late (was not impressed with that one, I have had that call in reality)
There is a problem with my house miles away, I have to go and sort it out.
My daughter got taken to hospital in night (possibly true)

No message nothing.
Got a message 8 hours later to say his kid broke his wrist at school and had been in A&E all day . Fair enough, but he had previously told me he had no kids ! Obviously forgot |

Noones ever really pulled out of meeting me as far as I can recall, but I think am all time favourite that I have heard from various stages throughout like and it's probably genuine a lot of the time.......

We too have had similar....
Never again for us...once bitten etc.
Now we would only meet in a club
At least the evening isn't going to be wasted.
Never say never I guess but it would take someone bloody special to get us meeting outside a club
