(Him here) Without starting a row, because I know how forum posts end up. Just intrigued as to what dress sizes they would all be? I am also aware that people come in different sizes, some top heavy, others bottom etc. I find people's perception of these terms intriguing. Now play nicely and no bloody arguing. There is no right or wrong here and no going off and looking at profiles to judge either. You are ALL equal  |

Dress size is not ideal. Someone who is 5ft and a size 18 will be a completely different physique to someone of the same size who is say 5ft 10. I'm a size 18 and I know I'm not slim, I'm not what I'd consider a BBW as some have suggested a size 18 and above is. |

Totally, I'm 5"10 and a 16 so I'd be a completely different shape to a 5' size 16.......I don't consider myself a BBW, I'd say curvy because I'm in proportion.

Every one will have their own ideas OP.
None of them equate to clothing sizes thouogh, especially as they vary so much. I'm normally a 14 but have clothes as small as 8/10 and up to XL... All that fit properly.
To me curvy is a shape not a size, and so is athletic; you can be slim and athletic or chunky and still athletic.
I think I'm curvy but I'm sure others will disagree.
As long as you have pictures showing what you really look like, I don't think it matters.

I'm average height and a size 14 with definite podgy areas. I'm ample in terms of flab distribution but curvy in terms of shape. I get messages from guys who see my pics and say they're messaging because they love BBW's. I get messages from people saying they love my figure. I get messages from people saying I'm fat. The choice of descriptive terms on here is limited and relies on individual perceptions; which may or may not differ from the perception others have. Since you can't narrow search parameters by body size/shape, height etc. I sometimes wonder what the point is of having such categories on here anyway. |

I have large on my profile because there isn't anywhere I can put big fat pear! . That's in that I'm pear shape with a large tummy, massive bum but not as big on top. However I have full length pics on profile and size etc because a label doesn't tell the other person anything |

Indeed. We believe in our pics speaking for themselves. Also why we don't use filters,or angles that hide everything. Everything is there to see for people to make an informed decision to save drama later on.

I'm 18 up top, 20 on the bottom (darn those luscious hips!) and pretty much 6ft tall. I put ample because I have a belly. If I didn't have the belly I'd probably go with curvy - ample's like the inbetween bit. I'm not large anymore, in my eyes.
That said, I'm not fussed about it - I'd just rather potential meets were pleasantly surprised rather than overpromised from the start! |

My wife is perfect to me. She was perfect to me when she was a size 22 amd also at a size 8. She's 6ft so looks different to lots of shorter women as weight and dress size are different for people's proportions. I think that for me it's all about the connection between you both. But that's just me

This thread clearly shown men don't understand dress sizes, they see a certain dress size an assume it means they look a certain way, but as many have said 5ft2 size 16 will look chubbier than a 5ft9 size 16.
For example me and my vanilla friends regularly ask people to guess our weights. I'm a size 18 but very tall when I ask people they always assume I'm about 2 stone lighter than I actually am, whereas my friend who is an 18 and 5ft 1 gets her weight estimated at about 3st heavier than she is, we actually weight only a few pounds different |

I'm size 12. To some that qualifies me as slim. Some would say average, and others would call me curvy!
Essentially it's just a guide to help people decide whether they'd like to meet someone or not - particularly when people don't have clear, recent, full length body pictures. Xx |

I have put curvy at 5'2 and size 14/16 it fits my shape big boobs belly and bum. I know I am overweight but I'm working on it. From behind I have and hourglass figure it's side of that's the problem but as long as my Boobs ate bigger than my belly I can live with it.

correct I think if your belly is bigger than your boobs it's time for a change! But everyone's different and it's what makes you happy that counts |

correct I think if your belly is bigger than your boobs it's time for a change! But everyone's different and it's what makes you happy that counts "
My boobs are bigger than my belly button I'm still 7 stone overweight so I think that theory of 'correctness' is a bit flawed |

"I've selected ample on our profile , I'm a size 18. It's subjective really. Plus there are lots of body shapes within clothes sizes, so you can't say all size 18 plus are ample as they won't be. I thought BBW started at 18/20.
