its just a suggestion at the moment and just seeing if anyone would be interested before we start oranising
we are just planning to go to a normal camp site in the new forest with a group of swingers, couples and single bi women at first
try and box ourselves into a corner for some sun, beer, bbqs and outdoor sex
what do you guys think? |

My first reaction is 'why'?
The history of parachuting swinging events onto vanilla locations isn't good and there's always someone around who, for whatever reasons, will decide to shop the event to the local cops.
The best outcome then is that plod suggests you pack up and go home. The worst outcome doesn't bear thinking about.

"again, not interested in who isnt interested, just interested in those who are"
At the risk of accusations of pedantry; there are lots of people who'll be interested but not for the resons you hope. |

The added bonus of 'maybe being caught' will seem a lot less sexy to anyone who finds themself in the dock, in their local paper or on the Sex Offender Register. |

how camp is swinging?
As for the sex offenders register, in all the years i have enjoyed the outdoors i have not met anyone who has been prosecuted. Warned off the site, read the riot act, acutely embarressed yes, but never gone to court or made to sign up. |

I can't be the only person here who remembers the incident in Irvine which led to exactly the scenario I outlined. Outdoor shagging leading to local paper, Sheriff Court, national press, SOR, appeal against inclusion on SOR, more coverage in national press....and so on. |

"Maybe Scotland has different laws regarding this sirt of thing, although wild camping is legal up there."
There are moves to ban wild camping in some areas thought to be 'sensitive' to overuse or misuse. The east side of Loch Lomond is a case in point. |

Thats a shame. Best part of wild camping is going places no-one else is. |

"if you dont want anything to do with it fine, just leave this thread to the people that do"
with the greatest of respect you at the beginning of the thread you ASKED for opinions... and then when people gave you an answer you didn't like you decided not to listen...
that shows a great amount of disrespect for me...and sorry.....a serious unwillingness to listen to people which would if i was interested, would send me running for the hills....
as has been said, higgi has run successful swinging camping events in the past.. so it can be done... and will be done again and again....
and I have been on swinging camping events on other sites and they have been great fun so it can work... so no need to exclude single men by the way which was your other MO...
maybe the wisest solution would be for you to go to someone elses camping social and see how it can be done... and then take the best ideas with you to run your own..... |

There are still lots of parts of Scotland where you can vanish into the hills for days or weeks on end and never see another soul unless you want to.
You can walk about in the scud, skinny dip to your heart's content or shag over a trig point and never be spotted but - try the same antics on a public campsite and it'll end in tears. |

It would seem that in swinging there are different kinds of people. There are those who do or try to do, or those who find ways or reasons for not doing. And finally there are those who look on while other try and if the worst happens are the 1st to say told ya so, or, if things work out they become bestist buddies to those who do.
I/we a do'ers so count us in for any camping festivities you have planned for the future. |

I'm sorry you feel my contributions are rude. I can't for the life of me see how you can draw that conclusion from what I've written.
In honesty, I think the idea of "planning to go to a normal camp site in the new forest with a group of swingers, couples and single bi women at first ...........
try and box ourselves into a corner for some sun, beer, bbqs and outdoor sex" is, quite frankly bat-shit crazy and have said as much (see above) but that's entirely a matter for the organisers.
The OP went on to ask "what do you guys think?". I've told them and they don't like what they've been told. I'm sorry they feel that way but it's still a crazy idea.
It's a common enough issue. Someone says "I've had this great idea - tell me what a great idea it is" and they find it difficult to accept others have a different opinion. |

That's not entirely the case. There's no doubt there is quite a lot of beach sex but the cops do take an active interest in stopping it and also organise horse patrols amongst the dunes to stop it from happening there.
Once the cops who hang around the lifeguard station see a largish doughnut forming around a performance they'll move towards it and 'discourage' further participation - especially during the French family holiday month of August. |

I'm not confusing anywhere with anywhere.
Incidentally, July isn't the peak season - August is the peak season, as it is in the whole of France. |

"Personally, I would not entertain the idea of having a swingers party at family campsites, only adult-only campsites would do for me.
"
Now, now. Surely you're not going to let common sense stand in the way of the opperchancity of a leg-over, are you? |

IMHO, there is a time and place for everything, and a family campsite is not a place for adult activities. |

"you try and avoid the french kids on the campsite from july 15th onwards, espacially the lad with the ginger hair."
Isn't that because French school hols traditionally begin on Bastille Day and run till the end of August.
France, government, industry, commerce etc, pretty much shuts for the whole of August and a lot of them head for the south coast.

We went to a swing camp off another site, they took over a field within a normal site.It all seemed very well planned, but some ppl still had a threesome with an open tent yards away from where children were playing, and on the last night the camp got attacked by lads who had over heard ppl talking and surrounded a single fems tent demanding sex.
Why would you want to camp where children were playing and non swingers enjoying their holiday?
We are really looking forward to camp in may,no butlins, just a basic camp site that is over 18s only. |

If I were to go camping in France, I would go in June or early July in order to avoid the crowd.
If all goes according to plan, I'll be over there for the first week in Jun 2012 to make good use of the double bank holiday weekend.
