Going to a house meet tomorrow for the first time, a bit hesitant but gagging (!) at the same time.
Don't want to offend the hosts, but would like to take a gift. That's OK, isn't it?
What else should I ensure I do, or don't do? |

What makes you want to take a gift? Is it something that's come up in conversation with the person(s) you're meeting? Do you feel like you should or have to take something? I ask because it seems a bit odd to me, although mine is just one opinion so don't take it as gospel by any means!
In general just be nice, friendly, yourself, like you would (hopefully ) usually. Unless you've made arrangements for anything else to happen when you arrive, then that's all you can do really. Try not to overthink it, and have fun! |

I'd always bring something if I was meeting in someone's house.
I've fab friends that bring bickies to mine if they're just coming in for a cuppa..
So bring a bottle of whatever you fancy and some sweeties or something like that.. Doubt you'll insult the hosts. |

About a decade ago, we had a meet come to our house with a cheap bottle as a gift, we smiled and thanked them. I think we took it to a party a few weeks later.
[TBH, we're a bit more sophisticated now, and don't think we could bring ourselves to take a bottle of Lambrini or a 1.5l bottle of Soave to a meet!]
It's the thought that counts! |

"Took two bottles of wine to my last meet and did not drink any too busy in bed lol "
Etiquette for bringing wine is that it's a gift for the host and as such is not expected to be opened for the gifter to have a taste of the gift too. |

"I'd take a bottle of wine but I give everyone gifts "
Me too
I just think it's good manners
Nothing to do with sex, if somebody invited me over to their house for anything like cooking me a meal, watching a film etc I'd take a bottle of something but that's just me |

To some people its just a way of saying thank you for opening their home up to them
I'm not talking expensive fancy gifts just a token bottle of wine so something similar
For me its just manner which a lot loose when 'its only a fuck' |

You treat it exactly the same as if you were going to someone's house for a vanilla party. So yes of course you should take something like a bottle of wine. |

I've never turned up at anyone's home, friend, family, playmate etc without a gift. Something my parents always did. |

I take a bottle of wine - it just seems polite to me. If they know I am coming straight from work, I've had dinner cooked for me, which helps with the blood-sugar levels! Some people are only on here for a shag and it is a question of in, shag, home. I don't go back in those cases, but you can't know until you get there. Sadly. |
