Is it just me, or are new members' profiles belonging to ladies and couples getting awfully lazy? Seem to be an awful lot of one line "Hi we are new here, if you are interested then let's chat" type profiles cropping up, as well as the ubiquitous "will fill this in later" (and still often say that after 2 months joined!)
O.K. nobody needs War and Peace but that smacks of not making any effort because you think you don't need to. It is not a good thing, I fear. And really very dull.
Or has it just become accepted wisdom that single guys don't read profiles anyway

Yes, things like "will fill this in later" or "ask me anything you want to know" pretty much mean I'll pass the profile by, especially if theres no pic as well

why do people keep moaning about profiles,what ever you put is usually ignored anyway.Isnt it up to the profile owner what they put on theres.If the pics are hot most people wouldnt give a toss what profiles say and chance there luck. |

Ach I know I am a moaning git but I do enjoy reading an interesting profile - and it is just flamin well difficult to know what to say to someone who says nothing about themselves.
And, yes, of course single guys do the bland one liners too - I just don't tend to scope these too often (honest!) Just seems to be a more recent trend and catching on, although I may be wrong about this. |

You make a good point, many 'newbies' will simply be dipping their toes before deciding whether or not to go ahead with things, when I swung with a partner we had previously been members of another site for around 12 month before going for it. |

I think because this place is free, people can just experiment...put up a 1 line profile, maybe get flooded with e mails & so just quit, with no loss, or maybe get a few interesting meetings, and only then go for the full profile.
But if youve been here a year and still have 1 line, then obviously that works for you!
