I can't help you with advice about Chameleons, as I have never been. However the club I use has a very good page on 'Advice For Single Guys', and I'm sure the advice applies whichever club you go to.
Google La Chambre Sheffield and have a browse around the 'Advice' pages, and good luck! |

I hope it has a page for 'nervous newbies' as I'll be there on Saturday for the first time ever. |

"You'll love it. Great club with v friendly staff."
Totally agree with that and sunny's suggestion. Definitely worth reading and sticking by it, you'll have a great time if you do imo. |

Firstly, ring the club, as I believe there is a waiting list for single male membership.
Next, as per the good advice on here, dont expect to do anything other than chat and make friends, that way you will not come over as "desperate".
For us, the worst part about single guys in clubs is when they follow you around when you leave the bar area, it can be comical as you end up looking like the pied piper with half a dozen guys in tow lol!
We do, on occassion, play with single guys in clubs, HOWEVER, it has always been someone we have known previously from a social or a party.
Strangely, no single male has ever tried to start conversation with us at Chams, even though we will chat to anyone.

it is interesting when you talk about guys in clubs because they normally fall into two types...
1) the ones that will just chat, get to know people, join in with conversations and have a damn good time regardless
2) the silent ones, who will wander round, patrolling all the play areas, won't say boo to a goose and when ever anyone starts playing, they are the ones rushing up to them with cock in hand....
I have never been one for 2)
I just treat a night in a club exactly the same as i do any other night out.. talk to people, have a proper laugh and a good time regardless of if i play or not....
see and that is why I never get the "I don't like going on my own" excuse... if someone is big enough and adult enough to come on a site like this, why they can't be big enough and adult enough to walk thru some doors and go by themselves...
i think most of it is basic common sense.. treat people to way you want to be treated, no means no and talk to people..... |

Stand and stare with your tongue out and rub your knees and go 'pwwwoaaarr!' every time a lady walks past. Flick any bare or scantily clad bums with your towel and shout 'round 'em up cowgirl!'.
...or you could maybe take more notice of Fabio's post. |

Indeed lol.
More advice occurred to me while I thought on about it.
Have a few too many to drink.
Barge about not caring for the ladies, couples or your fellow single man.
Wander about in packs.
Communicate by a series of testosterone-fuelled grunts clicks and whistles.
Crowd out anyone playing.
Make anyone playing feel uncomfortable by your presence.
Talk in a loud and boorish voice while people are playing. Make off-colour remarks about other people's size or looks.
Get your mobile out just to make people feel even more uncomfortable.
Make loud comments to your mates about how many "birds" you have shagged that evening.
Generally behave as if you've paid your money so you want your shag.
NOT!!!!!!!
All the advice here has been great and Fabio's thoughts on how to go about it are spot on.
Good luck! |

What a load of tosh!
You don’t need me to tell you how brave “some” people are behind a computer screen, which is completely different from having the confidence to enter a venue full of strangers. |

With the exception of the doors bit I'd agree wholeheartedly with Fabio's post. I'm not a regular clubber but I would be if I lived closer. I get a little braver each time I go but I can't just jump into a sexual situation with anyone. I need a lot of the number 1's up there to have a little patience and chat and manners. The number 2's up there make me uncomfortable and I can pretty much tell you that I'll never play with one of those. Come talk to me... don't follow me around like you're expecting me to open my legs and invite you in while wandering round the club!
Best advice is to be brave and go along. It's scary the first time but after that you'll wonder what on earth you were so worried about. If you smoke, take advantage of the smoking area and just talk to people while you're out there with a view to being you. Don't be someone you're not and don't be pushy to play, if a girl wants to play with you I'm pretty sure she'll make it clear.

You can tell blokes there for the first time, they run around like a dog with two dicks."
Yes... OP... don't do this!
Remember your dignity! |

don't comply with the biggest myth in swinging, "polite non pushy guy". In my experience polite non pushy gets nothing and goes home for a frustrated w**k. Little bit cheeky, with a glint in your eye will work a lot better. At Chameleons on a Friday night there is plenty of competition wondering about.
That said if they don't look interested leave them alone lol
top tip of all, don't drink. |
