Attraction has nothing to do with it for me. I have in the past stayed in Hotels that the guy paid for, ones that I have gone halves on and on one momentous occasion, I paid for the weekend away. |

I think its only fair to split the cost its a meet for mutual pleasure I also think childcare costs and such are a poor excuse I have 3 kids love them more than the world they are my responsibility and its part and parcel of being a parent |

I never ask for anyone to go halves for the hotel, the hotel meets i have had have involved me travelling to the area where they live and staying over.
If she or they wish to book a room in the hotel and stay over thats fine, but if they go home afterwards thats also cool.
if they were to travel to me (haha) and stay over i would expect them to book the room, but if they asked i would probably pay half, but each to their own.
i would never book a hotel room in my name for anyone else ! |

Playing devils advocate here - there are times when we're all skint - man, woman or couple!
At the moment I'm skint. I don't accommodate. If a guy wants to meet me we'll meet for a drink (I can afford that). Then if we like each other we have a choice of his place if he accommodates, a club (I can afford my share of the couples fee!) or a hotel! I can't afford half of a hotel, so if he can't accommodate and is reluctant to try a club but still wants to meet - then with my current finances he'd need to pay for the hotel! I make it clear when chatting if those are my circumstances though - and also make it clear that I'd be happy with a clean, no frills hotel! I'm not on the site to use anyone - but children/household bills come before hotels! Obviously I wouldn't be offended if a guy would prefer to wait until I'm in a position to afford half the hotel bill!

It's not so much the financial bonus for me I think it just makes me feel like they are a gentlemen treating me like a lady. I've paid for hotels before and the guy hasn't contributed anything. So I completely understand if guys didn't want to pay the full amount because it can leave you feeling a little resentful. I think it should come down to whoever is actually sleeping at the hotel to pay the most but if neither of you are staying then it should be 50/50. |

There is no general expectation that any one person pays for a hotel. I would have expected her to do the booking etc, if she pushed for it. Her payment card would have secured the booking - if she was even that honest about meeting intentions.
Sharing hotel costs is common or if one party is going to stay in the room then they pay. |

Not once did I ask for someone to pay half the hotel costs.I was mostly the one who initiated the meet and I like to think as a gentleman it is the way my personal code works.
Now in a full time long term (engaged) relationship, we would consider halves with another couple, or if inclined a single guy.
However if we where in a hotel for a weekend away for our enjoyment then we would pay the full cost as we are only inviting our guest/s into our room for a few hours of fun.
You wouldn't ask a guest to pay if you met them at your house now would you lol.

The most basic manicure is £20 (very occasionally a bit less, often a bit more) (I don't bother with them personally as don't have the time). Hair: a cut and a tint starts from £50. Makeup: look up Boots.com. Plus lingerie, stockings (they do not last) and shoes that few women will wear outside (OK, say, not buying new each time). It does add up.

Surely if these things are important to a woman she would be having them done regularly. Not just when she has a meet.

I'll share something now that will make you all think I'm acabbier than a leper. When I met a guy from my fitness forum (3rd time) I went up to London for a long weekend, I bought my train ticket and said I'd go in halves for the hotel he was like just give me 100 quid for it (the hotel for 3 nights was 600!) He bought loads of towels, hospital gowns, those hospital sheets you put on the bed, loads of medical equipment, when the time came to come home most of the stuff went in a bin bag and he went to put the towels in there that's he'd bough, I was like I'll take them home and wash them, they were Egyptian cotton and we're talking like 3 bath sheets big towels! Still have them now they came out lovely the pee and the spunk washed out! |

Mrs N may and, will at times buy a new dress, new shoes, new underwear that will be worn again or possibly for the first time on a meet and makes a real effort for her meets just likes she does when we go out, it's part of the excitement of a meet. Never though would we calculate this cost which is our choice into a meet, absoluteley not, never, a bit tasteless in our opinion. We ALWAYS pay half to hotel meets as the experience is equally for both parties, wouldn't have it any other way. |

It's been offered before and I've politely declined.
But to flat out suggest that having your hair done and buying some new knickers means you're not going to pay a penny towards the evening is taking the piss.

Actually thats cheap! For mr, a trip to the hairdressers plus beauty salon for manicure and pedicure would cost me about £200.
HOWEVER I don't do that everytime I meet someone. That is just usual maintenance every few weeks or so.

I don't think my personal costs incurred from getting ready eg hair, nails etc..are relevant because that is personal to the woman. I certainly don't think it should be taken into consideration at all.
The only situation where it might be relevant is if a man has expressed a wish for her to wear something very specific that has caused her to spend quite a bit of money to oblige him? That might be different. However I would never consider that for a first meet with anyone anyway. Different situation. |

I can understand that some single parent families can struggle to 'splash the cash' and there are so many things that can mount up cash wise for an evening out, but as long as I believe the sentiment is there.... It doesn't really bother me. I guess I'm a pretty good judge of character can gauge a person's motives.
I've come across many of 'gold diggers'.. But more so on dating sites
I've been lucky in the past on fab (left due to overseas work) (back now). I'm old fashioned.... and even though this is Fab.... I will in future, like I have always done in the past, treat a lady, like a lady. I'll open doors, pay for meals, pick up, drop off, buy flowers ect, that's just me
( obviously for the flowers- she has to be special, hahaha, sorry only joking)
I hate talking about the money side of a meet/hotel/evening out and as I said earlier... I've been lucky, the ladies I have met on here have all be exceptional, honest, open and offered to help pay... Even without mention,

Swinging is a hobby and like most hobbies it does cost money, club entry, sexy outfits not suitable for the vanilla world, an abundance of stockings etc, If golf was your hobby of choice you wouldn't expect someone else to buy your clubs or pay your golf club membership would you.
My philosophy is if you can't afford the costs involved then don't swing.
As for the having to get nails and hair done etc, then this is the women's costs to bear, |
