Well, the OP has certainly put up a broad brush statement. That said, I don't think it's far off the mark either.

Always turned up for a meet. If we do meet a single guy always make sure swap a few messages first. But saying that met a guy last min and yehhh he turned up, not only that he booked the hotel room etc etc xxx |

There are good ans bad in every walk of life, not just on here and certainly not just the guys.
Since I have been ill, I've had 2 certain single guys messaging me to make sure I am ok, and have offered to do my shopping if I need anything. So they ain't all bad x |

I think its quite the opposite. There is clearly a big pool of single guys and many who are couples or who pose as couples and females take great pleasure in teasing them with their ads and then enjoying the power of click/delete or replying with some snide comment. I think there are plenty of teasers but very few genuine females. |
