If you are in an honest trusting loyal and loving relationship and have experience with 3sum and/or group fun together then there should (in theory) be no reason why you can't tell him what you want. It doesn't mean you have to go ahead with it. Because if you loved and respected him and he didn't want you to do it then you won't. But at the very least you can both discuss it openly and honestly and respect each other's views
