Vanilla sex (or conventional sex) is a description of what a culture regards as standard or conventional sexual behaviour. Different cultures, subcultures and individuals have different ideas about what constitutes this type of sex. Often, it is interpreted as sex which does not involve such elements as BDSM, kink, or fetish activities not our words but then we prefer neopolitan sex thats three colours ! lol |

I don't like the word vanilla.. we are hardly neapolitan most of the time.
insert cock in vagina.
insert cock in mouth.
insert cock in anus.
and multiple variations of the above with fingers and toys and tongues FLUNG IN FOR GOOD MEASURE...

As with new use of many words, blame the use of vanilla to describe non swingers, on the Americans.
I think vanilla refers to relationships between a couple, without the involvement of 3rd persons, rather than the activities themselves. Perhaps alluding to being whiter than white. Could that mean swinging comes into the realm of the 'dark arts'? |

I think Vanilla can be used in any context to describe the mundane or "run of the mill."
It also is used to refer to mainstream middleclass white Americans. I quite like it as an adjective. Pretty succinct, and encompassing. |
