I have been using a home IPL system for a few months on selected bits. I will admit I was hugely sceptical when I purchased it and hence went for the lowest cost model from one of the big companies. I am shocked how well it has worked at relatively little discomfort, on the more sensitive skin, at the highest setting, it feel a bit like being gently flicked with an elastic band.
The downsides of IPL include that it is not an instant fix, that it does need regular maintainance to keep the folicles dormant and the bulbs have a limited lifetime. Bulb life would become an issue if used on multiple whole body control and only some units allow bulb replacement. Before buying a system you would also have to consider if you are the right combination of skin and hair colours/tones. |

search the internet for Magic Shaving Powder by a firm called Softsheen Carson.
It is designed for Afro beards, but works amazing on my nuts. It doesnt burn like depilator creams veet etc, and isnt as risky as razor and clipper.
Turn into paste, baste on and leave for around 6-8 minutes. Works on long pubes too but best to trim a bit first.
I have heard some women say it works, but for my other half it does nothing.
For guys i highly recommend at around 2 quid a tub there is nothing to loose. |

Waxing is great and as others have said nowhere near as painful as you might think, leaving a wonderfully smooth finish. The place I went, any embarrassment went out the window as soon as I walked in, the (female) waxer just chatted away quite normally throughout and made the whole experience no different really from going to a barbers for a (more traditional!!) haircut.
The only problem is you have to go back every 4-8 weeks to get it re-done and I really couldn't justify the £40 cost of doing so that regularly, so tend to shave mostly. Am not that hairy anyway, so it's generally a quick run over in the shower every morning, with a full foam and new razor treatment if we're going to a club or similar.

Fantastic stuff, i use it everywhere i want to remove hair.
It can be a bit of a bugger to mix but i found the easiest way was to put into a screw top container and just shake it up for a few minutes.
I find shaving intimate areas leaves me itchy, this doesn't lol
I buy from Amazon |
