blocked?? Why?

We received a pleasant message from a new couple either late last night or early today. I read it earlier but didn't have time to respond properly. Just went to leave a message now only to find we are blocked! I'm baffled! What's that all about? I feel stupidly miffed. What did we do wrong? Anyone had a similar experience please?

It's probably because you didn't reply straight away.

A lot of folk seem to forget that we have actual lives away from here and can't respond straight away.

why do folk get so upset about being blocked? It's not as if you are going to meet them,or you are best buddies?

dont let it get you down, probably wanted a meet there and then, while he had the wife d*unk!!!! lol as the saying goes plenty more fish in the sea lol !!!!

You will never know but they obviously had their reasons. Really no point wasting a nano second more of your time worrying about it.

Did you mark the message unread until you had time to properly reply?

If not then some assume that if you don't reply within 2 minutes that you aren't interested.

Thanks everybody. We've never been blocked before - blocking virgins, we are! I know it's not worth bothering about and someone who behaves so oddly is definitely best avoided. Plenty more (nice/normal) fish in our Fab ocean...

Its not odd to block, everyone has their own reasons for doing so, happens all the time on here, don't worry about it.

It really shouldn't give you a moments concern. Some people block to filter who they will and won't meet, some people block because you've offended them even though you've no idea why and the rest block because they're off their heads and in all honesty, they're doing you a favour.

Whatever it is; smile, move on and give your attention to those who're open to your approach.

It's the sort of thing that happens to the fellas often. The standard advice to them on here when it happens and they start a thread on it is ignore it, don't worry about it, move on.

So my advice to you is: ignore it, don't worry about it, move on.

Plenty of other couples out there to focus on

I can see what you mean but if I was to get angry or upset by it then I would be the one that takes offence

At the end of the day - I know I am not everyone's taste and for the ones that I am I would rather enjoy their company
