Anybody have regular sex without a condom whos on the pill and havnt got pregnant?
Hear so many people saying its very easy to get pregnant still anf some say 99% not but hey so many girls get pregnant who claim to have taken the pill lol |

Ok... I think I know what you mean.
Yes I am sure many couples have bareback sex with the only contraception being the pill.
There is no contraception method that is 100% guaranteed not to result in pregnancy... apart from abstinence.
The pill is very reliable these days, as long as it is taken as prescribed. However, it's effectiveness can be reduced if she is ill, and should use additional precautions then.
You do get all the info from the GP prescribing and there is a handy leaflet enclosed

Well its more the fact that we have had a few occasions where we havnt used a condom and the sex has been totally amazing.
I/we just don't really want a baby at this point but enjoy the sex without. So, taking into account she takes it ontime daily, isnt ill etc surely the chances are still very very very slim? |

Yes it is...
With both of my long term partners I only used the pill once I was happy it was safe to do so and only got pregnant once.... as planned.
However, you do have to accept that there is always a risk.

Slim, yes, but not impossible.
We got caught out twice on the pill in two years and now have two beautiful Bubbahs (don't ask!). |

Was with my ex 8 years she was on the pill and we had no hiccups going bareback. If she was ill or missed a pill for whatever reason I wore a condom to be on the safe side if we had sex.
Like Nita says though nothing is 100% |

Higher chance of getting pregnant on the mini pill rather than combination pill
I get pregnant at merely mentioning the word (pregnant)
So I'm usually sceptical when a woman says she took her pill without fail and still got pregnant :-/ |

It won't work as works with hormones and the pill is hormone based . If you don't want to get her pregnant then don't have sex , or at least use condims too. Pill is a good choice but have to trust her etc .

Well the general norm is when your with a long term person you trust you tend to
eventually stop using condoms as you are confident your sti free...

We are 100% free of sti. We have only ever done anything with eachother. And because we dont want to get pregnant just yet lol too young |

I have been on the pill for years and never had any problems. If I have been ill we always use condoms to be on the safe side. No contraceptive is 100% though. I myself am the result of a ripped condom! |

This is the one subject I can not really comment on as I don't have a snatch, can not get pregnant so don't have any use for the pill......... So I will just make some random shit up instead them and say during the war I once ate a full tea bag all to my self as there was no cups, sugar, or milk you see |

I was on the pill for years and was told to come off it at least 6 months before I wanted to try for a baby, so I stopped and 1 week later I conceived ...  |

Me too, but didn't fall pregnant when I was on the pill
so always sceptical when I hear

I fel pregnant with fraternal twins on the implant, so it failed me not once but twice in one pregnancy in my previous relationship
The most common reason for falling pregnant on the pill is when taking antibiotics certain ones counteract it |

OP you and your girlfriend should go and visit her GP. Before you go read the NHS pages about contraception, you can find out more about the pill, coil, injections etc. and then chose which method is right for you. |

You can still get pregnant on the coil my friends little one was actually holding hers in his tiny little hand when he was born.
Even sterilisation and vasectomies can reverse themselves the only two full proof ways of not getting a lady pregnant it if she's had a full hysterectomy (so has no internal lady baby making parts left) or you abstain from sex altogether.

There's a difference between taking the pill and taking the pill correctly
It's amazing how many women forget and take the tablet 8 hours late or two the next day and still expect it to work |

I was "on the pill" but was rubbish with it and fell pregnant..so was bound to happen..
went on the injection but when I wanted our 2nd took 2 years for all to go right..
went on the coil as don't want any more.. well that was horrible I ended up having a operation due to it giving me internal problems. so now ended up back on the injection as only thing that works for me personally.. |

Just be careful my friend has been on Depo for the same time frame and it's degraded her bone density and caused other health problems, it happened in a lot of cases many docs now recommend it under the guidance that it's not designed for long term usuage |

I was on the pill for a year and the patch for 6month, never fell pregnant then took me 6months to actually fall pregnant off of contraception. It's different for everyone, I know a lass who's fallen pregnant on the pill, patch and implant. She's on the non hormonal coil now and on a different type of pill to double up. 3 kids under 5 on her own she says it's hard going but wouldn't put them back! |

B got pregnant 3 times while on the pill and she never missed taking any of them, I know because I used to check she had taken them.
In her case however it was due to other medication reducing the efficency. |

From what I can gather this is quite common.
I came off the pill before Xmas and conceived on New Years Eve
My sister and best mate also got pregnant really quickly after stopping the pill.
A friend in the USA reckons her midwife says women are often more fertile the first month or so after stopping taking the pill...

Nothing is 100%
I managed to knock a girl up while she was on the pills and I was using test. Should have been damn near impossible, but if you throw enough material up there eventually one of the little bastards is going to stick |
