Pencils are always provided to vote with, this is a scam. Think how many people would need to be involved for this to have any basis in fact.

Take a pen by all means but not because you believe your pencil vote will be erased.

Do they have magic erasers which will get rid of the pencil marks in my experience always marks left when you erase pencil? If any mark is left it could be treated as a spoilt vote rather than a change which makes it unlikely to happen.
