Are the forums a good place to get a meet? I have never used them that way because compared to the number of profiles, only a very small percentage actually use the forums, and they are spread all over the country.
Often people post threads trying to get a meet, and are then frustrated when it doesn't work, so would you ever try? |

I'd never try, purely because as a single man I would be overlooked and dismissed as a fake/tease/time waster... etc etc.
A meet require that personal touch and some effort to make the man/woman/couple/tvts feel as though they are wanted.

The forums are a good place to make friends and then you can meet of the feeling takes you.
Don't focus on the meet and focus on just talking to people and you never know what can happen. |

We have never considered a meet from the forums- just use it to express our opinions or have a laugh really but I can see your point as you can get to know a person through the forums
Having said that it's not been that long since we have started getting addicted to the forums |

No.
I've met a few people from the forums, mostly (though not always) for social meets and I like that because most of my friends are in the US. But would I ever use it for the express purpose of getting a meet? No. I think the meet forum is not the best way of arranging private meets and the rest of the forums are more for chatting than anything else.
But if someone catches my eye, you never know.  |

Through the forum I have met some awesome people I would never have come across on here otherwise.
It's a bit more effort than fab locally but ultimately more rewarding in my experience. |

For me, yes. The only way in fact as it turns out. Not that I come on here for that sole purpose. These things just seem to happen by chance.
The chilled out, fun atmosphere of the forums can make it easier to develop some kind of rapport with someone. It just gives you the time and space to be able to get your personality across. This can be useful for some of us. Though it's not that contrived of course. Some are here purely for the banter.
The messaging a random woman, flobbing your cock out and shouting "fancy a fuck?" method just doesn't work for some of us.

We've never tried as such , but have met a few as a direct result of the forum .
We also hope to meet a few more as time goes by ....  |

Met a couple of regular forum ladies at clubs but not arranged meets all attractive lovely ladies. There is some I would like to meet but distance etc prevents. I imagine for women the forum wouldn't be good because it is usually the desperate men who cant get meets try using the forums as a tool. A lot of them unverified, looking for attention and whinging looking for a pity fuck  |

Best to just be yourself and have a laugh in the forums. Worst that can happen is someone notices you who might not have otherwise. Best that can happen is they get in touch...
I've not tried advertising for meets in the forums though, that just seems a little tacky and spammy? Saying that I'll probably be doing it by next week!  |

I meet from the forums, virtually exclusively. Happily none of mine have been pity fucks and I'm doing great without the need for desperation or whinging thanks for the concern |

I've met someone in the past off the dating thread and also met some forumites at a local club. I find the threads good fun and interesting. If you get a meet from it, that's just a bonus. |

I Have met folk from the forums .. The site has many tools, the forums are one such tool and offer another avenue for me to make connections , if they lead to a meeting fantastic if not they've introduced me to folk I wouldn't have had a chance to acquaint myself with.. |

I have had some lovely meets with a few forumites in the past, the best thing about it was I already had some idea of their personality so it was like meeting a friend you hadn't seen for a long time |
