It's funny how this particular circuit promised so much but yet failed to deliver what we were all hoping for.
I guess what didn't help matters is the rule change preventing teams from helping out drivers. Lewis and Kim struggled with power settings and it not only ruined their race but screwed it up for the spectators too.
Let's hope Austria offers a little more than Baku

Plymouth and Newcastle (sometimes) |
From free practice through to qualifying it looked like it was going to be a race of attrition but it was still far more entertaining than Monaco. They do need to sort out the 'radio information' the drivers are allowed though as the race could have been very different...We did smile though at Lewis' conversation with the pits. |

I thought it was a decent race for a first gp there. And yes the driver to pit wall radio was a little funny, both with Lewis and kimi. "Come on surely you can just say yes or no" lol |

I unfortunately missed the race live as I was in Hong Kong airport. I reverted to viewing the live timings on F1.com.
Was expecting some carnage and at least a SC but nothing materialised.
I've caught up with the highlights this morning and the driver woes of LH and KR were definitely a game changer .
Can't believe how many Lewis haters there are out there! Social media, Twitter etc.... A lot of comments about his issues, how he should spend more time in a simulator rather than jet skis.
Like that would have really helped?
Haters will always hate, like they really know?
It's like expecteing Tim Peake to fix any technical issues with his ship without the help from Nasa? |

I know things have to progress, but hey really should strip the cars back and let the drivers focus on driving as fast as they can for the whole race. Keep it safe, we don't want to see drivers killed, but we also need entertaining races.
BTCC has found its way again so no reason f1 cannot do the same. |
