It means that your mail has been read!
If they have not written back it could be a number of reason.
They have not had time to reply.
They are not interested in taking it any further.
You do not meet thier criteria.
If you have mailed them and they have not replied then I would not mail them again. Just my opinion of course. |

Could mean they are not interested, could mean they are considering you, could mean they want their partner to read it before they reply, could be any number of reasons |

It just means that the email has been opened - not necessarily read - no point in sending anything to follow it up - they will reply if they want to reply, and unless I missed the meeting where the rules were changed, making yourself look needy and desperate by continually mailing someone is not considered attractive.
Bear in mind tho that a deleted or unanswered mail only means that they weren't interested at the time you sent it - and there could be any number of reasons for that many of which could have nothing to do with you or what you sent. So there is no harm at all in contacting someone again a month or two down the line (note: month, not day/hour/minute) |

It means that they are interested in you but to be sure you like them they are holding back from replying until you have sent at least another 3 emails and one of them must say "answer your emails".
Ps, while I'm here, could someone tell me why I'm not getting any meets?

If someone is going to simply delete my polite intro message without a response, then please also delete that self-congratulatory crap on your profile about good manners costing nothing and how you reply to all messages even if it's a simple 'thanks but no thanks' |

"no one is under any obligation to reply to unsolicitated mail no matter how polite it is ."
Absolutely, but equally don't make a big thing about being polite in always acknowledging messages if you don't practice what you preach.

I've seen profiles where it states the person is relaxed, good sense of humour, easy going and doesn't take themselves too seriously. Then they come on the forums and post rendering everything they've stated on their profile to be a big, fat lie! |
