Cut and paste reply

Andover

So we get a fair few emails (not a humble brag post!) and we don't get time to respond to all of them. Not by quite a long way.

Was about to mass delete over 200 unread emails when instead a wrote a polite reply pointing out that we hadn't got round to reading all our messeges, touching in what we are specificaly looking for and asking people to mesage us if we are in their area. Thanked them their interest and the compliments and wished them well.

So what do people think?

Would you rather receive a reply knowing it was just a cut and paste generic responce or would you rather not get a reply if it's not an invite to a meet?

Note it wasn't a "thanks but your not our type" message as lots of the guys were our type, just not right here and right now.

A world of my own

I used to be on another site and am auto reply was sent to every email I recieved.

I wouldn't have the time or the inclination to even cut and paste 200 times

I think in theory it's a nice idea though

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

There are two reasons I don't reply. Firstly, if they message again, they get the warning screen. Secondly, if I decide to set my filters any time in the future, they can't get round them.

Just my personal foibles.

We have a generic reply that we paste. But we are lucky if we get 2 messages a day never mind 200!!!
