Sometimes people do get that, if they are on call for example, the phone rings, they go simple as that and cant be helped. Or perhaps he has been working on a project and bosses called him to discuss something, or he has chickened out |

We were supposed to be meeting a couple for a drink/social. They had spoke to each other about cancelling but had not discussed who was going to send us a message on here...
....we got two totally different reasons to cancel from the same couple within two minutes as they had both logged in lol.

That's terrible. So they both didn't say you were a pair of window licking mounters?

Talked to him on email
SWapped phone numbers
Talked on the phone
Booked the hotel
Waited in the bar
He did not show up.
The following morning a text came through......." sorry, I locked myself in the fridge and was not let out until this morning. I am freezing cold but ok" |

Wouldn't you allow him to have a ( perhaps real ) reason rather than an excuse? |

Arranged to meet a single guy (for the very first time) on a Saturday.
He contacted us in the morning to say his mom had died.
The next weekend his brother had died
The one after that he was feeling really ill with a cold.
We decided at that point we would never go to Telford as there seemed to be some sort of epidemic going round. |

"... satnav battery went half way though driving enroute to meet her....."
OMG so some men would really miss out on sex, rather than stop the car to ask for directions? PMSL |

I nearly have one: I left my sat nav in my car, which is being fixed at the garage, therefore, I do not know where I am going as the map is also in the car!
Luckily, I am familiar with the place I shall be meeting, PHEW! |

Years ago i was chatting to a guy for ages and there was a big social on we arranged to meet there. He wasnt there and i thought no more about it 10 days later he rang me he had been in a carcrash on the way to the party and i had forgotten about him lol. more north lincs than mids! |
Was due to meet a guy at a previous social, he turned up at the house I was staying at and seemed uneasy. We chatted etc and when I went to get showered and dressed for the night out, he disappeared off home! I got a text about half an hour later saying sorry, forgot something from home will try to get back!
Luckily for me, Larry was also at the party that night. We met, hit it off and are now married |

Back of Beyond |
The first couple we ever met. We had an afternoon session with them, had a break for dinner together in the hotel. Just got stripped and started in the evening and his phone rang, called into work because a driver was involved in a fatal accident!
To be fair he offered to leave his wife with us and we could drive her home afterwards |

I was due to have a meet one evening but during the day I had a nasty car accident. I still contacted from my hospital bed to cancel 5 hours before we were supposed to meet. He wanted to come and see me in hospital. When I asked why he said we could still have fun if we pulled the curtains round!!!!!. I thought he was joking at first but apparently he was serious. |
