I just had a charming string of messages from a complete stranger demanding that I change my profile details to bisexual because it said I was open to meeting genderqueer folks (which she also insisted was a "profanity").
Please tell me she's in a miniscule minority of gender police on here! |

seems to be someone with psychological issues. Guess identifying as a 'swinger' doesn't mean open minded

And one other thing, there is no such thing as a 'straight' swinger. Swinging is outside of any concept of 'straight' sex which is all about one on one in a relationship with no one else. The use of the word straight to define hetero was adopted when homosexuality was illegal to differentiate from the bent/twisted/perverted queers |

We have and still do get complete strangers (amongst always women) telling us that we need to change our profile as it does not suit there interpretation of sexualities.
Tell them to go fuck themselves.
We tend to find people in real life less huge mental than some of those on Fab.

Well, Fab has a pretty limited selection of options with gender/orientation anyway - but for simplicity's sake let's say I consider myself straight because I'm a man and am not attracted to other men. I'll gladly meet trans women at any stage of transition, for instance, but not transvestites.
I realise this is nowhere near the level of judgement and abuse that actual non-binary people experience, but just wanted somewhere to say that gender policing busybodies can honestly just all get in the sea. |

You're relatively new, no wonder you're surprised. That issue cropped up even in the forum quite often.
What important is, you do what you want in your profile and what you think represent you best.

I'm "post op" (vile term, huh?) but still use tv/ts on my profile as it is the only option I feel I have on Fab filter-wise.
Still get the odd bit of abuse for it. (no where near as much as being Poz). It's always disheartening to encounter the narrow minded on sites like this.
Fuck them. Their damage, don't let it get to you. I always just look on it as a favour, as in "ah! Well I just could never entertain the idea of sleeping with you, PHEW"

sadly it's rife with narrow minded sexual/gender bigots, spouting bile at anyone who doesnt conform to their ideals, possibly because they feel safer to vent when hiding behind a keyboard...

We fully support trans and have met some amazing people who realised and embraced their choice.
Just get pissed of with young genderfluid folk, yelling at others for simple coments like "that girl had nice hair" or "I need to shavebmy legs"
Our autistic daughter got a mouthful for saying both during week. She was told how fare she label someone by there birth sex and shaving her legs is bullshit enforced by the patriarchy (no she shaves her legs due to hyper sensitivity, due to her autism)

Fuck them. It's a clutch of academics getting in a hiss about nothing. I get grief from them all the time in my performance job.
It is a shame Fabs don't have more gender and sexuality options as the two are not mutually exclusive. I consider myself a gender queer, pansexual, sapiosexual. Or just a human who fucks other humans. |
