"I think guys with dirty nails in a pic goes to show they probably have poor hygiene "
Yuk! Yes probably a good indicator, I (Mrs) also hate Manky feet, which by the way are out in abundance clad in flip flops or sandals at the moment ----double YUK!!! |

I (Mrs) once had a meet when I was a single fem on here and his nails were disgusting! Needless to say I didn't follow up on his offer to go back to his!
It's so off putting! As op said its a good indicator about their hygiene! |

"This may sound extreme but we also check out if they are in a grotty bedsit as well = delete msg"
You're right, that does sound extreme and rather snobbish. People can be victims of circumstances sometimes, it doesn't mean they are necessarily grotty themselves. If you saw pics of me in my bedroom you'd probably have heart failure as I have piles of stuff everywhere (chairdrobes, floordrobes, bedrobes, etc) but then the rest of my flat is always fairly clean (I'm not ocd, but it's hygenic as I keep it so for my kids). And some of the nicest, least judgemental people I've met on here are from grotty housing estates etc. Personally for me it's about the people, not whether they live in a show home or not. (Granted, dirty nails would be a definite no no though). |

I hate seeing dirty nails.
The worse i have seen is women with long nails all nicely manicured but dirty under the nails ... yuck ! Could they not use a nail brush ? Do they not notice ? Imagine the germs lurking there ! I certanly wouldnt want them to make me a sandwich !
Luckily i/we only meet men and they have all had clean nails |

I wouldn't call that snobby but usually a combination of the two is a good indicator of poor hygiene.
We have met ppl that live in a bedsit but it looks OK- doesn't have to be spotless
Although not shy to say we would only meet well groomed ppl as well as we ensure good hygiene and expect the same |

"iv got to disagree really iv got good hygiene but being a mechanic my hands only ever get totally clean when I get a holiday and when i go back to work its back to normal "
Surely with barrier creams and the likes of swarfega your hands shouldn't be that dirty...especially not for play |

Yeah ok if for example you saw the normal bloke with his cock out over the toilet pic and the toilet looks like it's never seen a brush or bleach, the nails are dirty, the cock is just about visible through a forest of pubes, then yeah you've got a point.

barrier creams actually hinder us as leaves hands greasy and not good when doing fiddly jobs plus it doesn't work as well as you'd expect and I really scrub my hands constantly and never get them spotless |

My ex was a mechanic and his hands and nails used to get really dirty at work. He did use the barrier cream supplied and he said that helped.
However when not at work his hands and nails were really clean.
He used to enjoy making cakes in his spare time. He also decorated them using fondant icing so he needed clean hands and nails for that |

My point exactly- he obviously took pride in appearance |

"Or....they just finished gardening?
Or they have an interesting job that might be worth asking about?"
Are you trying to tell us that gardening is not Intresting? Garning not only makes my fingers dirty but my mind too |

It's one of the things Shaz looks for in pictures, if dirty nails then a 100% no
My best mate is a mechanic plus a fanatic in monster trucks, motor bikes and so on, he always has his head in an engine somewhere even at home yet he manages to clean his hands/nails. |

No I was agreeing with you!
Gardeners, blacksmiths, farmers etc, all worth looking beyond a bit of nail dirt to get to know....but then I'm a country girl and a bit of muck has never bothered me |
