Happy Saturday people. Please don't call me thick. When you refer to a woman as BBW. What do you mean ? Is it about weight and shape? Or something more? Can you tell me please. |

You Dont Need to Know, right now |
People use this term to mean all kinds of different things. For me, the important part is that we are celebrating the fact that ALL kinds of women (including those carrying a few extra pounds or a few extra stones) can be confident and sexual and alluring. |

It is a term that is used to describe a curvaceous voluptuous woman and not FAT or anything and if anyone does use it that way they should be shot, I adore the more voluptuous woman it is a personal thing so that is it, hope it helps. |

In all honesty, BBW is a term used in connection with overweight women. It says nothing about you other than youre overweight. A woman may be the opposite of beautiful but if shes overweight she will still be referred to as, or may even refer to herself as, BBW in here. In the real world shes just overweight |

What lead me to ask the question in the first place was. We keep being invited to BBW events. I wondered what everyone's interpretation of the abbreviation meant to them. By the messages I have been receiving, very mixed ideas indeed. |

Tha lady has identified herself as large in her details, maybe they don't look at the pics but how the profile holders identifies themselves. |

But BBW doesn’t refer to ALL women, it refers to “Big” women. |

OP you are entitled to call yourself what you want however in my personal opinion. . While you may not see yourself as slim if you put yourself as a BBW and I looked at your pictures I'd think I was being misled. ..

I always look at it as a term of endearment, because a woman in " the real world" is classed as obese, fat or an other word that's used, it doesn't mean she isn't beautiful to particular men or women, each to their own. Personally I like curvy, voluptuous fuller figured women, but I also enjoy a slim lady now and again |

So by that comment would you think it wasn't me in the pics.? I'm really confused now.Having messages that tell me any woman a size 14 or over is a BBW.......which applies to me...as normally that's the size clothing I buy ....
Oh well . |

Yes, but I tend to use it as it sounds better than saying that I'm a fat cunt. |

it is a catchall term for larger women although there is no defined 'trigger size' for it.
If you are receiving invites to events you have shown no interest in then you should report the messages. i do organise a bbw event and used to send confirmation emails out to all those who expressed interest however i think a few went astray and i got a warning from admin for pestering people about my event. |

Individuals use the term bbw to describe themselves based on their own viewpoint. Some are optimistic.. (sorry) and others are really doing themselves an injustice.
I've fabbed some of your pics. I would never use the term bbw for you. Beautiful? yes. Curvy? If you like. But never bbw.

I understood it stood for Big Beautiful Woman. All variations in human appearance are going to create preferences, and the term BBW was coined to describe the larger lady in a positive light by those of us (very much including myself) who particularly cherish a voluptuous, cuddly lady. Hope this helps x |

Yeah but do a search on BBC threads and see how many are started by guys.....then do the same for bbw and see how many are started by women |

if we are moving in to dress sizes fir a reference. .
as the average dress size these days seems to be more a 16 (if you read all the blurb) for me ( and again it's about what each person
thinks) a bbw would be around a size 20 then obviously you get women who class themselves bbbw and so on as they are larger still
if you are a 14 and arrived at a bbw event it could make some people wonder and if guys were there specifically for bbw's you might not get much action ???
but as I said you can describe yourself how you wish x |
