Make sure you start with the thinnest probe first then gradually build you way up to the larger one

Yes, I do it regularly.

Don't start with the thinnest ones you can get. Start with the thickest sound you can insert comfortably. For most men that will be at least 6mm. The smaller sounds you use the more risk there is of accidental injury.

I've played with sounds lots of times. One thing I learnt was to keep a very tight hold on the end as they can be sucked in!
