Although I list myself as bi (cos I don't care how others perceive me and it seems easier for others to understand) I consider myself straight.
My OH is genetically male but the attributes that apeal to me are those of a gorgeous woman.
If I were gay the attributes that appealed to me would be those of a man. |

Absolutely. Physically I was male at birth, genetically, I'm intersex and very soon I shall be physically the woman my brain tells me I have always been.
Some women have penises, get over it. Doesn't make him gay at all.

Our of curiosity what is the genetics for intersex?
Is it an extra chromosome deal if so is it XXY im asauming so.
Does that sffect fertility if thats not a wildly inappropriate question because it would leave an unpaird half a chromosome in the gammites (not even close on tbe spelling there i think) |

It can do. It totally depends on the type of XXY Gene makeup you have. I am thankful that I have the Mosiac form of KS and was actual fertile (I do have children) but most XXY gene carriers are infertile. I still suffered from many of the other symptoms of XXY genetics though, including breast growth and lower than normal testosterone as a teenager. It took me a long time (far too long really) to deal with it properly by accepting that I was a woman, because my physical nature and society at the time made feel I had to conform to the norm. So I did everything I could to be masculine and to some (limited)extent was transphobic/homophobic because I couldn't cope with the dichotomy of the situation I was in. Ultimately you have to accept what your brain is telling you. It took a mental breakdown for me to get there after suffering with depression my entire adult life. Acceptance makes it easier and I am now leading a happy life as the woman I always felt/knew I was.
