We wink from time to time, we feel its a sign that were interested ,if people wink at us we reply always and say ty and chat a bit or at least give an honest answer. surely thats the point . |

"I delete winks can't be arsed with them x"
.. didn't want to (re)start the big winker debate again, , as we don't mind them (and have had successful meets that started that way) just wondered about the mindset of the sender! |

To me a wink is lazy I would rather have a message least that way you may get a response, via a wink you won't as it will be deleted |

"find winks waste time sooner have a message to be honest
Don’t mind winks Do find it rather spooky tho, when you wink back and then hear no more from them
spot on there now that does my head in and you message them back saying thanks for the wink and get no reply back how strange "
just wink back then if they can't be bothered to contact, forget. |

Messages showing an interest also get deleted

I few days ago we had a wink from a nice looking couple and after checking their profile I took a few minuets to compose a little ditty to say thank you for taking an interest in us and to initiate the possibility of making a date. I laughed like feck at the reply which roughly read, "sorry m8 but my Mrs wont go for your Mrs but I think she's drop dead sexy".
Like I said, funny as feck lol |

We occasionally wink at people..but only if they have webcams as an interest in their profile..otherwise its just wasting their time having to delete them.
W ealso check their upper and lower age limits and their profile to ensure it doesnt say that they are looking for a certain type etc...
We would hate the thought that we had annoyed someone who cleary were not looking for people like us. |

Now, we really don't have a problem with winks and send a few out to people we like as an ice breaker. If we get a response we send a proper message to introduce ourselves properly - can't see why anyone would mind them?
But.. we had a wink this morning. We liked the look and sound of the other couple so instead of simply winking back we sent a message saying "Hi, thanks for the wink, really like your profile too" and we get an email back implying our response was too brief, could we write more about what we're looking for. Er, hello? They only sent a wink? Is it wrong to feel annoyed at this? |

I hope you laughed....I know I did.
p.s. Not laughing at your annoyance but laughing at the absurdity of the exchange. |

hahah! Love the story!
I like winks if a person is testing to see if I might be interested. i rarely send winks because I can usually find enough in a persons profile to write to them about. As you can see, I'm pretty articulate and will write quite fluidly.
Sadly 9 times out of ten my message is deleted.
I find it confusing because most people say 'don't write a one line message or ask if we wanna fuck'
Maybe I need to try writing:
do
you
wanna
fuck
Least that's four lines right?
I also find it hysterical when someone sends me a message asking for face pics and yet they haven't sent any and their profile has no pics at all!
HELLO!
Etiquette seems to be seriously lacking with most people and it's a sure way to ensure I take no further interest.
I was taught when meeting people to approach and say:
"Hi, I'm Prisee, nice to meet you, what is your name?"
resulting usually in :
"Hi Prisee, I'm Mary, nice to meet you"
not the opposite of
"What's your name?"
leaving me dumbfounded as to how to answer:
"Hi Jo/e I'm Prisee, what's your name?"
If I get a wink, I'll reply, strangely I often then get 'Not interested in you, sorry' or worse I've hit the profile to find it blocked!
I've even had emails from people which are quite sweet, only to reply and take time to write a nice reply, and bang! Blocked!

"If we get a wink and like the look of them we may wink back. Have no idea whether they then get in contact or not as forget all about it. Do people keep a record of winks they send out? "
Don't know about keeping a record, but if you're a site supporter it says if you've winked them if you go on their profile. Saves winking the life out of them if they're not interested!
In this case don't know if the couple tried to get in touch again because we blocked them, no messing. If they hadn't taken the effort to read our profile and were using a wink as a lazy way of getting us to do the chasing then it's not exactly much of a loss.. |
