Anyone else find the black and White photos on here far more better , is it just because they tend to be done professionally or is it more deeper than that

B/W photos are generally 'more forgiving' & can look striking & stylish. I do like to see them mixed in with colour pics on a profile though.

depends on whether you want to hide everything or not...

I have seen very few professional images on this site. You can make black and white pictures on your mobile phone.

Monochrome or selective colour certainly looks striking.

"I have seen very few professional images on this site. You can make black and white pictures on your mobile phone."

So you dont think they are large format scanned negatives then?

my mobile has the ability to crop all the crap out...

it amazes me in this day and age that pics are unfocussed, badly lit and upside down... and these people wonder why no one takes them seriously

Disappointed about this thread, judging from the title I thought we were gonna have a good discussion about television sets?

I found my black and white photos get the most fabs. I have a mixture but often the black and white are far more forgiving!

I wouldn't think they're professional.

Well I've had this avatar pic for ages in colour. I changed it last night to B/W and now it's on page 2 or 3 of hotpics. So guess it does

Sepia is also a good alternative to b/w or color.

I like seeing both. I like publishing both. None of mine are professionally done (quite obviously), but some I have taken thought and time over.

Agree with the 'both' thing too!

Ours aren't professionally done either but we also like to take our time over a shoot and put at least a little bit of thought into them.

B/W is definitely more forgiving and can look a lot cooler, but the open-legged-close-up huge vagina shots that seem to make the top page of most fabbed, still don't look great in B/W in our humble opinion!

A good pic can be b and w or colour. It's the subject and composition that makes it!

Very true Mr PB.

Fab wise though if I was to put up 2 identical photos the colour version would receive way more fabs than the B/W.
