When Billy and i had single profiles, I winked at him...and the rest is history, here we are 3 years later, still together. So they can work.
Having said that, people wink us now that either have nothing on their profiles to look at or they are completely and very clearly not what we are looking for, so in that instant we don't respond to them.

"We like a good wink.
Although people who have no pics on their profile who send them make me curious. We can't really wink back or start a conversation if there's nothing to go on."
I shouldn't let this get to me as much as it does but I can't help it....I guess I just don't understand the logic of winking and then having no pics or write up

We don't understand why people who are hidden or have no pics and/or profile text bother to wink though as what are we supposed to wink back at? |

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds) |
I don't receive many winks from couples or single ladies , however when I do I always respond with a message..
I never send winks if the other person's profile interests me I think the investment of my time is worthwhile. |

Sometimes you have no choice but to wink, especially when you have someone posting very specifically for someone like "you" but then you try to respond and have your message bounced back because they're not looking for, for example, single men! The amount of ads on here asking for men to join a kik group off (presumably straight) men who you subsequently try to contact to say "I'm interested!" only to get the the message that they don't want to contact males beggars belief - they really can't be that thick, surely? |

I wish winks were more accepted. It would be nice to know our finely crafted first message was going to a receptive audience. Since deleting without reading is acceptable, it would certainly save some time and effort (and heartache sometimes) for everyone. |

So don't worry about those that don't respond to winks...simple. |
