We don't hate it at all. Its a great way to initiate contact, saves people getting arsey too as can see if everyone likes what they see before the awkward no messages to others. |

I do think its a little pointless if the person winking has little or no info on their profile and no pics but overall, I think its a good tool to show initial interest. |

I agree with you all, but most of the London profiles state "Do not wink it gets ignored" so I tend to just not bother, I see it as way of letting the others know I'm interested and don't think it should be frowned upon. |

Never sent a single wink. So many people get stroppy about them, it doesn't seem worth the hassle.
Would rather send a carefully composed message, saying what I really think. (It'll probably still be ignored or deleted but at least it shows I'm interested enough to try). |

We don't mind winks as a way of expressing an initial interest. They're rather like someone catching your eye across a room. We've had some great things ensue from a wink. But as someone said earlier, if your profile is empty or its a way of trying to get round preferences then it'll just get deleted. |

You Dont Need to Know, right now |

Like Subbykitten, I don't look at my winks, so people may as well not bother. It just doesn't get them onto my radar, because there are hundreds of them. I really wish I could turn off winks, and trigger a 'bounce-back' to let people know 'this profile doesn't accept winks'.
However, I think it is a useful tool for single women and couples to use, so Fab should keep it. Sadly, being in the vast majority, single men just have to try harder than single women/couples. |

Winks are good for us When we get one and we like the winker we wink back, they respond with a message with face pics and if we like them we send ours back with a message answering anything they've asked or commented on from our profile (we always read other peoples profiles) and sometimes this gets as far as a meet. Certainly saves wasting time writing a message that's instantly deleted. |
