Hidden profile #4000!!!

Received a message from someone then went to look at their profile and its hidden!!!

Think it's a bit silly for someone to message you but not be able to see their profile! Seems like a very silly thing to be able to do.

i had that the other day, he did send me pics and i fancied him but i thought it was weird to hide your profile so i never messaged back.

I personally think it shouldn't be an option. If your interested in someone enough to send a message then your profile shouldn't be hidden to the person your sending a message to.

I think it's a bit creepy.

Maybe it's something admin should look into? PLEASE!!

I suppose you could say you should be blocked from messaging someone if your profile is hidden but if this was a feature of the site, how would it be possible to get around sending the message then hiding your profile after you've sent it?

I think people don't realise that a lot of us will check the profile before replying to messages. If the initial message is good I may ask why I can't see their profile but if not I just delete the message.

Some people genuinely forget they've hidden their profile. I always asked to see their profile which I think is a reasonable request, if they declined or got funny about it then I'd just block them.

Why would admin need to do anything? Can't people use their own brains and decide whether to mail them back... or not?

The only time I've hidden my profile is wen I'm not playing due to ill health, then I don't get any messages, but then I'll put this my status then can't be accused of being fake

I've actually put that on my status today, pls read profile before messaging, you'd think that would be common sense but hey ho!

I sometimes hide mine when I'm feeling anti social to all but a few. However having a shit profile works the same.

Yes that true, I think I just assumed it would stop all contact other than friends or people you've messaged before but I suppose that's when filters come in to it more.

I sometimes hide mine when I'm feeling anti social to all but a few. However having a shit profile works the same.
