It's a site scripting issue, the profile had & in the header at some point and has been deleted but it still remains as amp due to the scripting error.

Ampersand = & ...
It's a glitch in the system when you type & you get extra amps |

To display a Web page properly & gets translated into & £ would be £ etc. They decided the site but never fixed it. Reason is that & is a reserved character in html which all Web pages are coded in. |
