"Found a great silicon lube in boots but it's left us both with f***ing thrush
Are there any that completely rule out the possibility of thrush?
"

Thrush is not a STI. It can be caused by many things including antibiotics. |

There you go then .
Sylk doesn't have glycerine in it and I don't think it has sugar. It's quite pricey but in my opinion worth it. |

Would you say these are good for not getting sticky? We have a bottle of something from Ann Summers at the mo and had to keep replenishing it as it went from smooth to sticky way too quickly. Won't be buying that type again. |

Yes I would. Liquid Silk is very "natural" to look at and to the touch and maintains the same consistency throughout. I buy Sylk because it has moisturising properties, it's clear and while a little goes a long way I don't feel it lasts as long as Liquid Silk. |

I always thought that thrush was a vaginal infection. If so, how can you both have got it if you're a man OP? |

It's not just a vaginal infection, men also can get thrush on their penis.
There is also oral thrush. |

"Has anyone else tried olive oil? Condom friendly, great effect when massaged all over each other for erotic photographs and tastes nice too. "
Olive oil is not condom friendly. |

Doesn't do your bed linen a lot of good either. |

Some think that glycerine exacerbates it. |

Thrush is a yeast infection; (Candida albicans). Almost everybody has a small amount of Candida in their body; it lives in warm moist / mucous areas ( hence the vagina is vulnerable to it), but you can have it on your penis, in your mouth or nose.
Normally, your body's own immune system controls it;
However, changes in body acidity ( sometimes dietary ,) and changes in your immune system can upset the balance and cause it to break out. For instance if you are tired, or fighting a cold, the body's defences are reduced. Antibiotics can affect it as they may kill off some of your "good" bacteria.
Women are also vulnerable, since the monthly cycle often changes body acidity levels.
Some Lubs can affect it, if they seal off pockets of the Candida, and prevent the natural bacteria and body acids from attacking the Candida.
Candida is not, by the way , an indicator of bad hygiene.
It might have been the lube; it might have just been a coincidence .
