Neither, I've just gone from a iPhone 5s (cost me £500 on payg 2 1/2 years ago) to a Microsoft Lumia 550 which does the same but on Windows 10 and on payg it cost me £50 brand new from O2 with free data, calls and texts!

Have switched back and forth a few timesaver have a Galaxy note 4, Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6s Plus.

Love the Galaxy for it costumisable options and external memory and how well it works with all other peripherals.

iPhone feels a bit boring and limited as you can only have the screens they want, can't run multiple apps.

But the iPhone feels much better quality, never bugs out and is much, much more intuitive.

I spend hours buggering about the Samsungs trying to make them work the way I want while the iPhone just does everything without me thinking about it.

I just cannot stand to be part of the Apple brand. Idiots queuing up at stores during the night to be the first to buy a new product, TWATS! What's all that about? Not for me thanks.

Samsung takes better photos anyway and that's very important to me

Funny you should say that because i agree the iphone has the slight bit better feel. Though it doesnt bother me because mines always in a case.

BUT though you say iphone are better quality, i havnt seen 1 samsung smashed screen, yet the majority of people i know with iphones have/or have had cracked screens. There screens are crap.

Hadn't thought about the broken screens....yes you're right , almost everyone I know who has an iphone has had replacement screens , yet I've had a Samsung galaxy ( original thru to S5 ) and never needed any repair other than a software issue on 1 phone.....hmmmm thinks I'll stick with a Samsung and go for the S7 edge.

Here as well! Samsung all the way, currently have the s5 and when we upgrade it'll be to the s7 or whatevers best then. Couldn't use anything else purely on the fact I'm so used to it.

We both have G4s and we love them, a much overlooked phone. The ability to change the battery and the expandable memory are really useful. The buttons on the back are really intuitive, the double tap on the screen so you dont have to pick it up or press a button is good. Plus I think the brown leather option looks really cool

Had you gone back and asked for a different one to test of it was just your phone that was freezing? I've been with Samsung for the past 4years(s3 then s5) only broke the screen once while drinking and think that was my friends malicious ex that did it as I wasn't near my phone. Thankfully insurance sorted it. Still have my s3 for when my son is old enough to have it for games etc. Not had any problems with them in all the time I've been with them

Best thing i done was swap from iPhone to galaxy s7 I was getting annoyed with the arrogancethat is apple. I've recently upgraded the ios on my iPad now it's as slow as shit.

The difficulty with swapping phones is the getting used to it, it's taken me a while to get used to the different ways they operate but apart from that it's amazing.

No contest - the S7 Edge wins by a country mile. I would not buy an Apple product if they paid me. I'm one of these funny buggers who likes to buy something and know it will actually be MINE and not governed by what the manufacturer wants to allow me to do with it.

Still using my trusty Iphone 4s, obtained second hand a few years ago. On 3rd battery and a new charger attachment all fitted myself. A great little phone despite Apples repeated efforts to render it useless with their dumb upgrades.

I fucking hate apple users and wish there was a function to block them in search results on here.

Bunch of manginas who yap on about the "feel" and "user experience" to try and justify getting conned into paying 4x more for a phone with less functionality. That's just the initial acquisition, what kind of fucking company hates its customers so much it charges them to change its piss shit battery that barely lasts half a day.

When I was a youngster, apple was a shit brand who made shit computers that nobody bought. I commend their awesome marketing ability to convince a new generation of yuppies and gullible types that they are any different now.

Don't even get me started on that one trick pony Jobs either. It's the other steve that they should thank for the success or survival of their company.

My House

Samsung - full of bloatware. Not very intuitive, lousy interface.

Apple - genuinely awful phones, not very good except for facetime. Can't expand the memory, their updates have a tendency to kill the phone.

I have a Windows phone for work.

Sony Xperia for pleasure and a

M8 for Swinging

I highly recommend all 3

There's lots of phones out there right now that are frankly amazing in their capabilities.

I'll give you my tuppence worth as you asked, but in short I'd say it's best to go play with them. See what feels best for you.

Personally, I wouldn't limit myself to just Apple or Sammy. LG and HTC have just bought out fantastic new flagship devices, so I'd urge you to check them out.

I don't like the iPhone myself, as it's a bit too prescriptive with what you can do. That said, it's a fantastic bit of bit with a very good camera and the world's supply of apps and accessories.

The S7 / G5 / 10 decision should be easy! The S7 has an exceptional camera and good UI. It's also waterproof which is great, however Sammy seem intent on adding as much bloatware as they can get away with.

The G5 is a brilliant step away from the norm with its "magic slot". The addition of a 24bit DAC is great, as is the replaceable battery. For me, it just is t good enough.

The HTC 10 is a good return to form, but doesn't eclipse the others. Innovative camera (ois front and rear) and inbuilt 24bit DAC along with decent sound without headphones and an almost pure Android UI are definitely bonus points.

Don't forget the others out there. Huawei, One+ and Googles own Nexus devices are all top notch, as are the new upstarts like Meizu.

Read as much as you can, research properly and then go have a play.

I'm ordering an HTC 10 though...
