Some people have it and some people don't.
I'm no oil painting, I'm not well hung, I'm not necessarily fit either.
I'm usually very polite but probably boring as a consequence too.
I have no idea how to write an "Exciting" message or one that "Stands Out" to get attention.
This isn't a rant, nor a moan even.
After 10 months, you get kinda used to the fact that some people, like me are simply no good at this.
Doesn't stop me from trying and having a chuckle along the way though. It's rather funny actually lol....
Anyone else rubbish at Fab, or is it just me? Lol

I've rewritten my profile sooo many times according to what women and couples have said to me would make them consider meeting somebody. When I write messages its always polite, I try to tailor messages to the profile I am contacting with nothing but polite and friendly words making an effort to reread profiles to hit points they state. I don't consider myself arrogant or self loathing but I wouldn't say I'm that photogenic or exactly ugly.
Yet finding a meet on this site in the last year has been next to impossible (I say the last year as that's when I moved to the north).
I can't pretend it doesn't get me down at times but I still use the site and chatrooms as otherwise I'm stuck with being the single guy in a club (swingers or traditional) and at least rejection on a screen is less of a downer than face to face rejection.

Well the size of my lexicon would probably impress more than the size of... other things. So scrabble works for me.
I seem to have stumbled upon a holy grail on Fab in that for a younger man I seem to only attract (for lack of a better term) older women. It's usually to tell me my hair is pretty though.
I'm awful at fab, I rarely send messages and do spend most of my time on the forums making fairly ridiculous comments.

Only you can answer if its worth it to you. But even without meets you can build a social circle on here which is why I still use the site as I moved 400 miles from home and at least get to chat to people on my area without having to goto a pub ect considering I don't drink |

I see where you are coming from and I know which post you are also referring too.
My messages to women and couples are always polite and direct and I always read their profile before engaging conversation.
A lot of my comments on other posts are usually down to banter than anything else. My comment about greed was meant to be a laugh but I guess i can see how people can easily read it differently |

I know exactly what you mean. Do you go down the 'Im an easy going, friendly guy'route, or the 'lets meet, and heres a pic of my cock' way. I think just use the same type of language that the person in the profile your approaching uses, if abrupt and direct then use the same and if its about their personality then go down that route. Ideally be yourself then if do do meet your not trying to be someone youre not. |

Its not you Peter I think all of us blokes are in the same boat. The problem is there are just so many men on here so the girls have so much choice. There is also the verification trap. A lot of girls wont meet unless youre verified but you cant get verified without meeting. On average I get 1 message every 2 weeks despite my best efforts. Maybe its a good job that I'm a very patient person. |

At least 70% of them suddenly realise, on the day, that they're actually in a relationship they forgot about, or they simply haven't got the balls to meet me (coz I'm obviously really fierce and unapproachable! )
If it wasn't for the forums and club/party information, and my current phase as a photo-tart - I'd be long gone!
From a purely meeting point of view, if you have any specific preferences (ie not just any cock or fanny will suffice) then I'm guessing fab is harder work than many 'dating ' sites out there! X |

Everyone goes through peaks and troughs, just take it as it comes and enjoy yourself. Personally I'm having a bit of a green streak but I know that can change at any time. Just enjoy the company that fab affords, it will try around. If its really getting you down either look at your approach or leave for a bit |

I completely understand where your coming from. The verification business is a catch 22 but once you can get verified in person things should get easier. I never com across right on this site or take very good photos.
So I'm trying social club meets organised on fab to meet members and if we hit it off you could get verified that way. But i can also see how easy my wife finds it. we both together but we also play solo and all i hear is her phone going off from prospective partners lol.
I like to make a joke out of it . But also it's frustrating because she has been on here same time as me and is already verified in person too. while I'm only photo verified . But I'm hopeful and in time it will all come together with a lot or hard work . But also i have to admit it sounds like a cool i'm rubbish at fab club |

I'm no oil painting, I'm not well hung, I'm not necessarily fit either.
I'm usually very polite but probably boring as a consequence too.
I have no idea how to write an "Exciting" message or one that "Stands Out" to get attention.
This isn't a rant, nor a moan even.
After 10 months, you get kinda used to the fact that some people, like me are simply no good at this.
Doesn't stop me from trying and having a chuckle along the way though. It's rather funny actually lol....
Anyone else rubbish at Fab, or is it just me? Lol

You don't look or sound like someone who would be 'rubbish' at Fab but I do wonder why after so many months your profile is still not verified. A green tick does inspire a little more confidence that a profile is genuine but it is not a guarantee of success. Remain polite, be patient and, after this forum entry, I'm sure you'll soon be verified and having fun! |
