Most annoying thing?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

What's everyone's most annoying thing about swinging, which isn't serious really but just annoys the hell out of you?

I don't mean stuff like not turning up for a meet. That is proper annoying - i mean the trival stuff...

Mine is when you're emailing someone and you're kind of having a conversation. Then they don't reply for ages, or just go altogether until the next day.

I know it isn't important, and they probably have a good reason for going offline, but it really gets to me for some reason lol.

Will fill this in later! 12 months on site, still not filled in, wtf, how are we supposed to know what they want?

Replying to a wink, then nothing, not a sausage

Untidy people, photo’s that show how untidy the place is in the background!

I'll be back

People who send winks when the dont have any pics on their profile and only one line of text on their profile.

They then wink everyday, would just be easier to send a message.

As someone who was worked in the written word industry for many years, I find it hard to deal with deliberate lack of grammar and spelling - I do not mean typos - but such as when someone types "wiv" or "lol", etc., etc.

I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but it does. Language is a wonderful thing I hate to see people rubbishing it.

As an extension, I find it amazing when an older person does the above. If the decline of language is due in part to appropriation of technology at a young age, I don't see what reason a 50 year old has. Except, perhaps, ignorance.

Jesus, essay! Sorry!

Thought of a lesser one

People who mail and say "want to chat?" then, when you mail back and say "sure, what about?"

They vanish.

I concur. It's a huge turn off for me. Maybe I'm a complete snob, but I put it down to the fact that I'm a linguist.

Also people with the same pictures/profile you've seen for the past 5 years, people change so why can't their pictures and profile do the same?

The fact that you've posted here indicates that it does!

This is a Swinging Site where people from all walks of life interact- Each to their own - we're all eqaul here!

Whilst I'm a tad pedantic about the area around" Text speak" I'll never pull people up over it.

The idea of the thread was stuff that annoys people when it is quite trivial. So saying it shouldn't annoy you but it does, is a perfect example I think.

I would say I have three (ok more but I won’t get greedy)

1/ People desperately striving to be something they never will be even with an opp.

2/Immature people who moan about someone else’s profile! I can only presume the moaners lead such a dull and uninteresting life them self to make them do this.

3/Keyboard cretins. All gobby when tapping but smaller nadds than a nat when they actually meet someone in the real world.

Also when you send a wink/friend invite by accident... we have both done it

"People who have the title of the profile as "WE DO NOT WANT SINGLE MALES" yet they come up in a search because they haven't clicked the relevant seeking box......really does me in."

Or people that have "WE DO NOT WANT SINGLE MALES" repeated time and time again in their profile, especially with something patronising along the lines of "and for those that can't read, we'll say it again - WE DO NOT WANT SINGLE MALES".

If someone is not capable of reading then it doesn't matter how many times you write it, does it? Durrr!

I get a bit peeved when someone chats for AGES, saying everything to please you and seemingly fitting your bill . . . then when you eventually give in and share a cam session, which is not something I enjoy really . . . they disappear forever - only to turn up a week later with a new profile, new name, new pics, but it is sooo obvious that it is the same guy . . . . Very sad !! ( And you know who you are!)

People who dont read profiles and then send a message, dont care if they wonder why they didnt get a reply as i guess they do but i dont always read, sometimes i delete without reading, so annoying

Text talk; i'm 50 not 15

Guys who see me online in the early morning ie 6.30am and "want some fun" though the best ive had since ive been on here is the guy on friday morning from London, as if i fancy some fun at that time of the morning, also 3 hrs drive, he didnt reply when i told him. I think most guys look at the picture, think i want some of that and dont read the profile

I have preferences, choices, i am allowed that and i dont appreciate the message i got from some young lad telling me i should get out of my box as if i am not entitled to make my own choice, no matter how mature he came across, no way am i changing my preference for someone younger than my kids

No way am i changing either my decision not to want to meet guys that live the other side of the country, and those that have messaged me just seem desperate especially the idiot that said "dont you come up here then?" and id never even heard of where he lived

Couples who ask you to meet locally to them, not you, for an initial drink,

.

then tell you they think you are just their type and they def want to meet the next week

.

then postpone and say def meet soon

.

then never reply to any of the polite messages you send them in the next few months

.

but retain you on their friends list- maybe so they can have a look at any new pics

.

then put a Meet Today notice up, single guys welcome

.

then ignore your messages politely asking if you can join them for this fun

.

Bad manners, plain and simple.

Yes I have now blocked them.

"People who have the title of the profile as "WE DO NOT WANT SINGLE MALES" yet they come up in a search because they haven't clicked the relevant seeking box......really does me in.

Durrr! "

I DO WANT SINGLE MALES

"People deleting unopened mail. Ok you read you don't like is not a problem but deleting without reading i just don't get."

I do that to those its obvious havent read my profile, mostly the young lads as ive had several reply back when ive told them im not interested as i prefer my own age group, i get the "i like older women as they know what they want" so the last guy got "I know what this older lady wants and its not your age group" didnt get a reply to that, much easier im afraid to delete without reading. Even those my age group dont always listen when i tell them they are too far away, eventually i stop replying and they get the message

"when someone slags you off and tells a lie. and then everyone jumps on bandwagon to slag you off. long time forum posters should know better. specially from a lie in the first place

sadly dude, it sometimes goes with the territory. some may see 'perceived' popularity and they feel the need to knock people down.

dont let anything bother ya

Hey! Some of us just had money riding on how it would end

I sometimes look at the profile before I open the message.

I can generally tell by the title and pre_iew if they have read my profile.

How the hell do you know they didn't read it first... unless you sit there staring at your send messages, pressing refresh every 5 seconds.

Mine is:

You get a message - "Hi - how ru?"

I reply back. "I'm fine thanks. How are you?"

Never hear from them again. Maybe they were expecting my life story or something

Winks we don't mind.

Friends invite without a message simply gets deleted

What does p*** me off is, those who think it's acceptable to wink / send invite, without a message yet state on their profile DO NOT SEND WINKS / FRIENDS INVITE WITHOUT MESSAGE

My pet hate is men who message us and get annoyed when its Chris that answers back. They'll say oh its you, we wanted Feebs. Thats so rude.

This relates to the potential meet type messages, not messages from friends on the forum. Chris doesnt ever post on forums and when its forum related he may read the messages but has no problem with the message being for me.

But if its a potential meet then its so rude because Chris will be present at the meet. We are not going to meet anyone who cant even say hello to him are we?

Never heard of a dignified silence. We said our piece and left it at that we hoped you would too all we have seen is you telling everyone it's lies then saying sorry. Sorry but we had to say our piece we are not liars why would we lie. The evidence is out there.

You see someone tasty in a club, your partner seems to like the fella, exchange looks, move in, signs are good, nice chat, touching, feeling, shall we go into the bed/couch area?. Ok, down to business........

Fanny stinks like a polecat....oh shit.

Options:

*pretend you're having a heart attack/stroke.

*carry on regardless.

*decide you're into soft swing after all.

*go for a 'comfort break' and don't come back.
