I tend not to allow myself be suckered in by ....last night in the uk ,wanna meet me pish. Most are guys in their 20's and haven't read my profile. Probably heard the same lines from their fathers when they were off to the Gulf. |

The peopke who messeged you were chancers, last day in the uk before going to war do you really think they would be here or saying there goodbyes to family and friends? Just ignore them!

Sad to say, I used that line (well, a variant - Northern Ireland) on more than a few occasions in clubs and pubs back in the mid-80's when we were on exercise in Thetford or on the Plain, but never near home as the local girls knew who was going where and when!
It worked occasionally but not that often.
The funniest night was when my platoon were in a bar in Yarmouth and a few of us tried the line on a group of girls. Turns out they were squaddies too and were off to Cyprus at the weekend. That worked! |

I think I can safely say that no one in Merthyr Tydfil would be that desperate that they would want to shag you ! lol ! 
Phew that is a releif! all those limps and squints, I ouldn't be that desperate either. Come to that I'd rather prefer a posting to Caldi island :p |

I get them on a dailey basis most days lol, but thats just because of where we live in Andover which is in the middle of a massive mod area Tidworth Bulford Larkihill etc etc Ive met loads over the yrs we have been swinging, all of them lovely lads and good friends too I worry about them all over in Afghan  I prefer soldiers tbh as they come with no baggage and most want the same that I do nsa lol  |

Had messages that they are either going or have recently just got back from Afghanistan. I just send polite replies to say no thanks but to keep safe.
Saying that, am waiting for a very nice man to get back from a posting to the Falklands ...... lol, the only birds he's seen in the last three months have feathers! |

The saddest on here for us so far is 'couples' on chat who, when asked if they are both there reply with 'my wife died of breast cancer/cancer recently/last year'..even though 'they' still have a 'couple' profile (never verified etc)
We are never sure if they are after a sympathy cyber or not...it might be gen, but its a strange thing to say at the beginning of a chat..
So we block. |

We had a guy who tried the line, although he was in "Private Security" in Iraq and "Special Missions". We actually had already had a meet with arranged with him, not because of the line but because we were free in the day time and he offered to accommodate.
While we were there he checked his phone and gave all the "Thats my boss, more members of the team have been killed on a mission so Im actually having to fly out this afternoon".
It was hilarious!! What made it even funnier was that about 5 hours later he was emailing us trying to make out he was there!! So in 5 hours he had travelled 1 hour to the airbase, got briefed, flew out to Iraq, drove to their base (which he told us was in the middle of nowhere) and then rather than find out full details of the mission he chose to find a computer and log on to Fabs and message us!
Hes still on here trying to arrange meets, although he was meant to be out there til April!! |

well let me tell you i am in afghan at the moment and have just nine days to push till i start my move home to my sexy lady and then the fun starts. been out here since early september and apart from two weeks off (which was at the time the house flooded) have been getting rocketed on a regular basis so i am looking for some stress relief with Jan when i get back next week |
