Following up a recent topic about avoiding STIs, I think as important as using condoms is being clean.
I prefer dress-down clubs with good shower facilities because it is no much easier to keep clean and your playmates are more likely to be clean too. I always go and wash my hands and shower the lower half of my body between bouts of play.
I once went to an event where there was one shower (in with the only toilet) and no-one got undressed or showered on the premises.
Crowded enclosed clubs, of course, are good places to spread other infections like colds and tummy bugs. In the outside world the single most important thing you can do to avoid all sorts of infections is wash your hands frequently - in swinging that should apply to all parts you use in play.
I think all clubs and party hosts ought to consider this and encourage cleanliness as well as condom use.
