"Physicians, anatomists, and psychologists in both eastern and western culture have described intellectual concepts of female ejaculation during orgasm. In ancient Asia female ejaculation was very well known and mentioned in several Chinese Taoist texts starting in the 4th century. The ancient Chinese concept of female ejaculation as independent of reproduction was supported by ancient Indian writings. First mentioned in a 7th century poem, female ejaculation and the Gräfenberg spot (G-spot) are described in detail in most works of the Kamasastra. In ancient Western writings the emission of female fluid is mentioned even earlier, depicted about 300 B.C. by Aristotle and in the 2nd century by Galen. Reinjier De Graaf in the 16th century provided the first scientific description of female ejaculation and was the first to refer to the periurethral glands as the female prostate. This concept was held by other scientists during the following centuries through 1952 A.D. when Ernst Gräfenberg reported on "The role of the urethra in female orgasm. Current research provides insight into the anatomy of the female prostate and describes female ejaculation as one of its functions."

The female prostate and prostate-specific antigen. Immunohistochemical localization, implications of this prostate marker in women and reasons for using the term "prostate" in the human female.
Zaviacic M1, Ablin RJ.
Author information
Abstract
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is currently the most frequently used marker for the identification of normal and pathologically altered prostatic tissue in the male and female. Immunohistochemically PSA is expressed in the highly specialized apically-superficial layer of female and male secretory cells of the prostate gland, and as well as in uroepithelial cells at other sites of the urogenital tract of both sexes. Unique active moieties of cells of the female and the male prostate gland and in other parts of the urogenital tract are indicative of secretory and protective function of specialized prostatic and uroepithelial cells with strong immunological properties given by the presence of PSA. In clinical practice, PSA is a valuable marker for the diagnosis and monitoring of diseases of the male and the female prostate, especially carcinoma. In the female, similarly as in the male, the prostate (Skene's gland) is the principal source of PSA. The value of PSA in women increases in the pathological female prostate, e.g., carcinoma. Nevertheless, the total amount of PSA in the female is the sum of normal or pathological female prostate and non-prostatic female tissues production, e.g., of diseased female breast tissue. The expression of an antigen specific for the male prostate, i.e., PSA in female Skene's glands and ducts, and structural and functional parameters and diseases similar to that of the male prostate, have provided convincing evidence of the existence of a prostate in women and definitive preference of the term "prostate" over that of Skene's glands and ducts. The use of the term Skene's glands incorrectly implies that some other structure rather than prostate is involved, promoting the vestigial position of this female organ.

Its thought all women ejaculate during orgasm. Those who don't squirt it goes back into the bladder. So all women must 'pee' during sex.
Yeah we're peeing on you when we get turned on, pee on you when fucking, we're just constantly peeing all the time we're aroused, according to you. |

The 'female prostate': location, morphology, immunohistochemical characteristics and significance.
Wernert N1, Albrech M, Sesterhenn I, Goebbels R, Bonkhoff H, Seitz G, Inniger R, Remberger K.
Author information
Abstract
Using immunostaining for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP), we can demonstrate prostate-analogous periurethral glands (the 'female prostate') in 66.7% of 33 cases. Histomorphologically, these glands resemble strongly the male prostate glands before puberty. They remain immature throughout life from the fetal period up to advanced age obviously because of a lack of an androgenic stimulus. The glands have long ducts leading into the urethra. A proper stroma component is missing. The immunohistochemical behavior of these glands also corresponds widely to that of the male prostate glands before puberty. No indications can be found for a proper biological function.
And men have a prostrate too so must be pissing on us when they cum...ew, nasty. |

It is filtered plasma, produced by skene's glands
the Skene's glands (also known as the lesser vestibular glands, periurethral glands, skene glands, paraurethral glands, female prostate) are glands located on the anterior wall of the vagina, around the lower end of the urethra. They drain into the urethra and near the urethral opening and may be near or a part of the G-Spot. These glands are surrounded with tissue (which includes the part of the clitoris) that reaches up inside the vagina and swells with blood during sexual arousal.
The location of the Skene's gland is the general area of the vulva, glands located on the anterior wall of the vagina around the lower end of the urethra. It has been postulated that the Skene's glands are the source of female ejaculation. In 2002, Emanuele Jannini of L'Aquila University in Italy showed that there may be an explanation both for the phenomenon and for the frequent denials of its existence. Skene's glands have highly variable anatomy, and in some extreme cases they appear to be absent entirely. If Skene's glands are the cause of female ejaculation and G-Spot-orgasms, this may explain the absence in many women.
It has been demonstrated that a large amount of lubricating fluid (filtered blood plasma) can be secreted from this gland when stimulated from inside the vagina. Some reports indicate that embarrassment regarding female ejaculation, and the mistaken notion that the substance is urine, can lead to purposeful suppression of sexual climax, leading women to seek medical advice and even undergo surgery to "stop the urine".
The Skene's glands are homologous with the prostate gland in males. The fluid that emerges during sex, female ejaculation, has a composition somewhat similar to the fluid generated in males by the prostate gland, containing biochemical markers of sexual function like human urinary protein and the enzyme PDE5 where women without the gland had lower concentrations. When examined with electron microscopy, both glands show similar secretory structures, and both act similarly in terms of prostate-specific antigen and prostate-specific acid phosphatase studies. Because they are increasingly perceived as merely different versions of the same gland, some researchers are moving away from the name Skene's gland and are referring to it instead as the female prostate.
Eponym
The glands were named after the physician who described them first in Western medical literature, Alexander Skene.
Disorders
Disorders of or related to the Skene's gland include:
•Infection (skenitis)
•Skene's duct cyst

Personal opinion- can't be wee.
Reasoning:
I use depilatory cream prior to meeting to defluff the foof.
If I pee after using said cream, it stings like fuck, I mean really stings!
When I gush- no sting ergo it's not wee.
Thats it! Thats my reasoning. |

Well I've heard and seen the debates.
.... I used to be embarrassed ....
Sometimes with a "gush Virgin" I still am.
I used to think "wee" weak bladder as earlier post said.
It feels different, the orgasim it comes with feels different, mine has a strong POPCORN scent. A gentleman a little while ago is going "it's popcorn - omg smell this its popcorn" My wee does not smell like popcorn!
I do smell it as it still concerns me...I empty my bladder before making love and yet I can produce so much.
I don't know what it is - if the factors are right and he touches the spot at the right pace in the right way - OMG ... Bliss ......
does it really matter what it is ?

Okay, we are all I possession of personal experience and Internet Facts which helps us create an opinion.
No posted experience or Internet Fact posted by someone else is going to change your opinion.
So, I try and apply common sense.
I don't know enough about female anatomy to say what it is/isn't. But if the male urethra is dual purpose it makes sense that the female urethra is too.
There are probably multiple scenarios lumped into one here, hence multiple experiences and Internet Facts.
I'm sure for some it's purely wee.
I'm open to the possibility that there's some added extras that stops it being just wee, which explains the different smell/taste/chemical composition and why it feels different for the female. |

"does it really matter what it is?"
Only if people keep insisting that it's something that it is physiologically impossible. The bladder is the only organ which will eject liquid with the force required to travel several feet.

no. people experience it when stimulated in a certain area inside their vagina. and they also need certain glands for the ejaculate to come out of, otherwise it will retrograde back into the bladder.
i've always been a very wet person, well lubricated, but never squirted until some guys stimulated me to. i can't even make myself squirt, i haven't learned how to. |

that can mean it moves backwards into the bladder and not forwards out of gland openings.
before reading all this, there have been a fair amount of studies done.
there is only one study that said 6 women emptied their bladders during squirting, and the fluid was partially pee like, 2 women also had the equivalent of male ejaculate in theirs. but for this study they used women who squirted **substantial** amounts of fluid. not everyone squirts like that. ok, everyone focuses on that one study because it was well 'advertised' (spread across the media).
there are a lot more other studies where women only ejaculate PSA and blood plasma. would love to know why these were not well 'advertised' (i know there's a better word for this but can't think what it is). I do think because it suited the governments agenda of banning types of porn to ignore the other studies over the pee one.
i have read the proper research papers and not the cruddy media articles written badly by just about everyone. this is what you need to do, and understand them, to get an idea of what is fact and is not.
i have formed the opinion that the studies seem anatomically accurate but there is also some media bias as to which study has been promoted and which others have not. |

The definition is obviously an issue insofar as you'd hope everyone would know women get wet during sex and that a small amount of 'ejaculate' wouldn't seem unusual.
So it makes sense that they considered 'squirting' and 'gushing' as being substantial amounts of liquid, and isn't much of a surprise that what was discovered was small amounts of other fluids, but mostly pee. |

all other studies found PSA (which men have in their ejaculate) and blood plasma (which is what lubricates our vaginas). |

Ive cum/ejavulated when having sex and playing alone.
ejaculation is def not gushing/squirting if you ask me.
Guys bang on about these squirters.....er, ramming your hand up there to get a load of liquid out....without me having an orgasm.
No thanks!
Love it when i read 'want to me a squirter'
like its a womans responsibility or something....
Give me a good old fashioned orgasm anydaym, one that gets my insides clenching and me naturally ejaculating.
Thats my opinion on the matter.

Yes but in that one study EVERY woman was found to squirted either urine, or mostly urine (along with 'some' fluid from the Skene's glands for some women).
The one factor that was consistent for ALL participants was lots of piss.
That suggests that one way or another it's likely to be a lot of pee. |

"Who cares as long as the person squirting (and if lucky the person squirted on ) enjoy it does it really matter x"
Exactly.
But it's still fun to debate |

"Ive cum/ejavulated when having sex and playing alone.
ejaculation is def not gushing/squirting if you ask me.
"

6 women though. i feel it's not enough research drespite me agreeing with the results. it's too small a sample.
they could do more, and better, research also. |

7.
But yes it definitely seems like it needs a bigger sample size.
Shouldn't be too difficult to find suitable candidates on here judging by the comments on the topic...
Maybe a summer scientific experiment at Chams? |

Excellent. We'll need to ensure the methods are scientifically rigorous may take a few attempts . All in the name of science of course "

"So is it piss or not cuz im totally confused by all the medical crap
it's not medical crap
there's so many theories out there though, nobody is sure for certain. i post science stuff that backs up it isn't pee co i got bored of seeing the ONE and only study that says it is likely to be pee. there's more studies say it isn't than it is.
There's only two theories.
The one that admits it's wee. And the one that denies it
you're forgetting the theory that all women squirt but for some it retrogrades.
because not all women are anatomically the same their is no conclusive evidence about anything, yet."
At last someone who actually talks some sense!
There are respected scientists that sit in both camps, as scientific studies stand at the moment, there is NO definitive proof as to what it is.
Like anything, you either like it or you don't |

"Well I've heard and seen the debates.
Mwah " |

I've been squirting/gushing a lot lately. I've only been able to do it on my own, never with another person...Until about 2 weeks ago. Both oral and penetrative sex with my partner, Mr C, also using toys. And I always go for a loo before sex so it isn't piss, well not as much piss I'm sure. Never saw the appeal but now I love it. Lol. Miss C. Xx |

Anything more than a few centilitres is urine mixed with female ejaculate. There is no organ in the human body which can store a litre of fluid (or a bucket) and yet remain undetected by x-ray and ultrasound. Loosing a litre of blood plasma in any short space of time, such as during an orgasm, would put a person in shock
Watersports is nothing to be ashamed of, if that is your thing. Expecting people to believe alternate human anatomy, is weird |

As usual in this debate, no one pays attention to the defierentiating peramiters of the debate and so end up arguing about different things.
So here is the clarication.
If it's a small if fluid emitted from the vagina, it's a gush of built up, lovely, normal lubricating juices.
If it's a pint of fluid emitted via the urethra, it's pee.
If it's a pint of fluid emitted from your vagina and your otherwise fit and healthy, go see your doctor.
Here endeth today's summary, you may consider it a sermon if you wish. |

One thing that no-one on the 'pro-squirting/not wee' board seems to consider; What is it's purpose?
Every part of the human body has a purpose, even multiple purposes.
There are some redundant elements such as tonsils and appendix.
Every substance produced by the body has a purpose eg lubrication, flushing(tears), saliva and stomach acid(breakdown food)
What could be the possible use of a considerable jet of liquid from the urethra during sex or orgasm mostly containing urine? even if not urine and some mystical and hereto undiscovered liquid?

Oddly those form the "I squirt pints and it's not wee" camp have no interest in science, biology, anatomy or common sense.

They dont bother with these threads. Indeed, if you read over forum posts carefully, you will see that certain groups are routinely ridiculed, out down, etc ... every now and then there is a comment on a thread from one of them, but they are shot down and then don't contribute. |
