Just wait till you hit the change and they are no longer regular, they can be late, extremely late or early and catch you on the hop, planning meets for me now is a nightmare |

I know this feeling too well, any time I'm tempted I'm wary that I'm coming on |

I've just gone back on the pill (3 months ago) after 12 years to control things.... sex drive has gone through the roof!!! Get your doc to change your prescription if you can... mine allows 'the time of month' but at least I can plan around it |

I've got the copper coil (can't have hormonal contraceptives).
My sex drive is exactly the same but my sex life is upside down - sometimes 6 week cycles, sometimes 2 week cycles!
We certainly cant plan in advance but I am adjusting to it... at least i know when its coming as I seem to get a nesting/cleaning boost through the day and a rampant desire at night... and then it starts, boo hoo
Every sympathy to the OP xxx |

Can you use a cap/diaphragm - a friend of mine who's a family planning nurse said these are popular with escorts who need to be able to work all month round... |

"I'd rather be sterilised- but they won't let me ......"
Doesn't stop periods! They only agreed to sterilise me because I was married and I was having my third caesarian. They thought 30 was too young! |

No longer an issue for me as I have a Mirena coil.
I have always had coils as I cannot tolerate hormonal contraceptions.
The amount of hormone delivered by the Mirena coil is very small and localised. It took 3 months to settle though.
The success rate is comparable to sterilisation, however, it may not suit everyone. |

I had a balloon ablation (completely removes lining of uterus) and can't bleed now but still have the delights of horny ovulation time. Hormonal contraception has a lot to answer for by decreasing libido as it supresses ovulation. I have never been hornier since this little procedure I wish I had it years ago. You can still get pregnant theoretically but extremely rare and nothing for egg to nourish into, so condoms safe enough now. |

I had one prior to the ablation and it was because of the sore boobs that I asked for another solution. They used to swell up and go really hot for days on end. |

I'm on the pill and go back to back on my packets every other month.
I never feel particularly turned on when I'm on. It irritates me when guys try to insist on coming over to play anyway - "oh go on, you can give me a blowjob." What fun for me.... |

One major advantage of the medication I'm on - no periods, unfortunately there's a major disadvanatge - horrible hot flushes! Oh well, you can't have it all...

does anyone else find it extremely embarrasing to have to discuss with a meet about your menstrual cycle?
I sometimes come up with other excuses for cancelling, as i cant be bothered to discuss my internal workings!!

Yeah, I often think how odd it is to have to basically tell someone I've never met before when I'd not even mention it to my mates. |

I would have hoped most blokes would be intelligent enough to realise why a meet was being postponed with just the slightest of hints, thereby avoiding those embarrassing conversations. I'm guessing by your posts that this isn't the case...?
Personally I don't have a problem talking about menstruation, but I can understand why someone would want to avoid discussing it wherever possible. Just seems funny feeling embarrassing considering you're going to be doing some very intimate things with that person. |

Not embarrassing as such to say you can't play in a particular week. But what is embarassing is when you get a guy who's on and on at you saying well can't I come round for a blowjob and goes on and on so you have to start saying look you have no idea how crappy I feel and it becomes this big issue...Grrr |

"Ahhh... gotcha. Yeah, sounds like blokes being twattish again.
After getting a few slaps from Mrs ex-Carambar I learnt a long time ago not to say such stupid stuff."
It's different in a relationship but on a meet, it's a big no for me certainly. |

Understandably. I'd imagine it would be for most women. |

Not that I have to worry about it though, as I have the Mirena coil and I havent had a period for nearly 6 months, yippeee |
